"A fire! There was a fire!"
The fire at Gigante, as it blazed wildly, almost reached the sky; the smoke and light eventually alerted the neighboring towns. Residents from nearby towns started coming out of their houses, shocked at how the night looked so bright.
Many took it upon themselves to see where the fire was coming from. To be safe, some evacuated their homes in case the fire reached them. Others tried to extinguish it, but buckets of water were not enough. The fire was just too big for people with so few resources to put out.
In one of the towns, five convoys pulled to a stop.
The people of the town were panicking, filling the streets that were usually quiet at this time of night.
The group, which was supposed to be headed to Gigante, stared at the flames from a distance.
"What the hell is going on?" one of the mercenaries wondered in utter confusion. "Is that… Gigante?"
