"Ransom, are you guys alright over there?"
Ransom's thoughts halted as he heard Izu's voice in his earpiece. He instinctively pressed the device, nodding.
"Yeah," he cleared his throat, watching as the drunken Long kept chugging from his flask while telling others to stay in the corner of the massive underground place.
"We're alright," he breathed out. "Better… than expected."
His eyes scanned the surroundings. If he didn't know better, he would think he was on a hospital floor. A legit one.
"Florida is just helping the others," he added. "But we're fine. The Madam is right. It's… it's right that we went here."
Admitting that somehow chipped away another piece of doubt Ransom had toward Lola. Thinking about it, it was the same with how she got information about the old granny and Gigante, and then—even this place.
Because of her, they were still alive.
To be precise, they weren't just alive, but they had made a lot of progress and were still alive.
