Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

She never knew that her parents wanted another child. But that wasn't the most stunning thing she saw. In her dismay, she saw assassins climb through their bedroom window.

While they were off guard and just after the completion of the fetus; an assassin swiped its long claw towards her father, the king. The long black claw penetrated the back of her father, blood spilled out of his mouth as he eyes widened in shock.

Such a delicate and intimate session was ruined and defiled by killing rogues. His soul which was dispatched from his body entered his wives as he body fell limp. The fetus still hovered in mid air at the fusion of the couple.

Her mother, in her distraught use of her absolute erasure power; erasing the assassins from existence. Her mothers soul and her father's soul created a whiplash, combining in one body.

The fetus that her parents had just created slowly started to fade away. With a wave of her hand her mother created a magical marigold flower and implanted the fetus to nourish it. Then she waved at a wall that was next to their wardrobe. It looked like a secret compartment.

The compartment was loaded with gold and silver with many other treasures hidden within. Her mothers movements were swift as she placed the marigold flower on an empty altar and then closed the compartment, closing it tightly.

The last image of her father was of him being cremated in the fires of oblivion. Astraea forwarded time to the day of her mother and siblings death. She watched as the elders and their entourage bypassed the bodies they assumed were dead.

Her mother, who had her eyes closed a second ago, opened her eyes slowly and then looked around groggily. She crawled over to her daughters, crying over their bodies. With tears in her eyes her mother used a forbidden technique that her husband taught her.

A golden glowing light erupted from her fingers as she resurrected her two daughters. The injuries on the two slowly healed, her mother producing a sphere implanted in the heads before sending them quickly through a portal, each in a different one.

Astraea's mother stood up weakly, her injuries bleeding onto the ground. Tears streamed down her face as she hobbled through the corridors looking for her sons. She hid her massive body as best as she could as she ducked behind pillars

After two hours she finally found her precious sons. Their bodies sprawled in an unsightly way. With the last strength that she could muster, she resurrected and healed her sons before implanting golden globes in their heads. Then she sent them through the same portal.

BOOM!

With a smile. She watched as her mother self destructed her powers, blowing herself into oblivion. Watching and witnessing her family's destruction and rebirth made her head spin. She nearly passed out from the overwhelming knowledge of what happened when she was in a deep coma.

A sad smile flickered across Astraea's eyes as she sat down in a corridor filled with centuries old blood and wreckage. The images of the past swirled around her as she continued to stare into space.

Her long nails clinked on the stone floor in a rhythmic way. She spent nearly four hours in utter stillness and silence; wrapped in melancholy. She was grieving for her parents and was thankful that her siblings were successfully resurrected. She didn't know what she would do if she was the only child left to her parents.

But now, the problem was how she was to find her siblings in this vast Galaxy. She could be sure that her siblings all arrived at different star systems. But after the sudden resurrections, would there be any lingering issues.

This was another issue that she wouldn't be able to find out anytime soon. Her two tails slithered and stretched out like snakes as she stood up on her feet. Astraea's beautiful dark opal wings stuck to her massive body as she swayed.

She was dizzy from hunger. She hadn't eaten in two millennia and now she was nearly starved to death. The entire time that she slept, she merely absorbed the essence of the universe instead of absorbing the essence of the sun and moon. Which was vastly different and extremely more dangerous than anything else that she had encountered in the years that she had been born.

Astraea looked at her surroundings; the once abundance of magical beasts that roamed the land no longer existed. It was truly tragic.

Fortunately, she didn't need the magical beast's spiritual energy to sustain herself for now. She only needed warm bodies. With that being said, she flapped her wings and took to the sky flying overhead.

And like an eagle she zoned in on a flock of horiton deer, grazing from a couple of fruit bushes. With fluent and swift motions, she dived down, opening her mouth and scooping up 5 hortion deer at once.

Gulp!

Disgusting!

Gulp!

Disgusting!

They didn't even get to struggle before she swallowed them whole. Unfortunately, that was still not enough. So, she began to eat once more. She scours the entire city for all the remaining magical beasts. Gobbling everything she saw until she was finally satiated.

By the time she was completely full, there wasn't a single living creature in the Vesper city, the capital of Planet Draconis.

So distressing, now she would have to go out of the city to get dinner.

Dang it, she overdid it again. Astraea smacked her forehead with her paw.

As the day approached noon, Astraea was astounded by a peculiar sight. The bright sun dimmed significantly and the three moons slowly replaced it; plunging the land into darkness.

What kind of gravitational shift is this?

The days' hours have never been this short, ever. It has only been six hours since sunrise. Dragonis had a 40 hour time span in a day, meaning now more than 24 hours in a day was plunged into darkness for no reason.

Astraea helplessly sighs as she takes off to the sky once more. She roamed the entire city and outskirts of Vesper just to see what the nightlife had become.

She would never have believed that after the sun left and the three moons came out that the forest totally changed. The once vast and still forest became lively as they moved about on their own, the leaves swayed about and uprooted themselves and physically walked, and then planted themselves back under different areas.

If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she would've never known that the home that she used to know had changed. If the castle wasn't on the big mountain for all these centuries, she would've been lost as soon as she entered the new Vesper.

It was clear that the moon changed the world that she knew. And she wasn't quite sure if this was something good or bad. As far as she could see the only things that changed besides the animals becoming non-magical and the trees uprooting and shifting themselves was the complete lack of spiritual energy itself, which begs the question of how the moons regulated the trees, and why did they do so?

After she investigated Vasper in the surrounding areas, she flew farther away to the other towns and cities, and across the many oceans of the Dragonis planet to observe the ends and out of the new land.

She found that everything was different. The cities were no longer there, the buildings had been demolished. And the few magical beasts that were there had once again become regular non-magical animals.

Astraea returned to the royal castle and used her rejuvenation powers all over the castle. She cleaned and restored the castle the way it was when she lived there. Even the bedrooms of the servants were cleaned and repaired to its original state.

The castle was over 1,000,000 square meters with 20 floors, enveloping the entire Vortex mountain. The largest dragon used to be King Khedlo with a length of 750,000 feet tall; his Queen Ghatris came a close second at 715,000 feet tall. The smallest dragon, of course, would be the newborns which were only 3 feet at birth.

The King and Queens bedroom was built in a strine with festive lanterns adorning the chamber doors. Then she went to her bedroom which was set in the north wing, overlooking the once bustling city center.

Each child of the Past Kings and Queens had a wing to themselves with more than 10 other bedrooms connected. Those rooms were for the little highnesses family, such as the spouses and children. The castle itself was once a living entity that could grow according to the royal lineage.

But since the 52nd generation the castle has stagnated at 1,000,000 square meters. Now it was time to regrow the Dragonis empire. From the moment she was born, when the celestial lights hung in the air signifying the crowning of royalty.

She was proclaimed the crown princess and was to be the new Queen. That was how the dragon royalty crowned the very first dragon king. It was a good thing that each crowning was within the royal family, signifying the royal lineage was strong and capable.

Astraea waved her hands redecorating her bedroom. The once cheerful pink and green room was now decorated in the dark purple and deep crimson with light pink crystals hanging from the ceilings.

After many hours of cleaning up the castle, she finally made it to the grand reception room. Once there she created a tall staff with a green globe on top and struck it into the stone floor. With her magic the globe glowed creating a beaconing for every animal on this planet.

Then she waited and waited and waited. She waited for a full month but she wasnt idle during that month. She recreated the entire Vesper city or rather rebuilt the buildings and re-did the landscape. Everything was in a medieval gothic style. Using her chaos and void powers, she made the forest larger and creepier, allowing them to curve over each other.

She separated the Vesper city and created a large river of magma to surround it. There was only one 10,000 meter stretch of bridge that connected Vesper city to the rest of the land. The three moons that stayed in the sky majority of the time combine, creating a blood moon that never left the sky. Even the sun that once peeked out 6 times a day was lost to the blood moon.

The only bridge was named Khegha Xalia bridge after the former King and Queen. Then she sealed off the planet making sure no other creature could enter; whether its travelers in outer space or others attempted to use a void to enter.

She made this entire planet her personal domain. The seal she chose was of a sydney funnel perched on top of a Gympie plant. The most deadly combination. She bore a mark of this seal on her wrist, that way she could enter at any time after she left.

When the animals of the planet finally descended in troves, Astraea was finally relieved. The last step was finally about to be implemented. The animals now tasted absolutely odious. How was she supposed to stomach it?

Astraea placed her hand on top of the green globe and spread her chaotic energy all over the city. She changed the animals back into magical beasts making their spirit more abundant than before. She made sure that the blood moon absorbed the essence of the universe just like she did which ensured the spiritual energy on the planet was more abundant.

Once that was done, she waved them off and sent them back to where they came. Over the past month the blood moon has slowly changed the landscape around the world, making it bigger and better. It was a source of miraculous resources that any cultivator would love to have.

"Now it's time to go." Astraea murmured to herself.

She waved her hand, opening the void and sifting through worlds before selecting a portal to enter. Without hesitation she entered the portal; anticipated her new start in life.
