Chapter 123 - Finale

"Your payment."

Kino took out a small bottle containing Amber Gold from his pocket and tossed it to Constantine.

Constantine, as if he had found a treasure, quickly grabbed the bottle.

He pulled the stopper and drank it all in one gulp.

A cool sensation spread through his limbs.

Constantine gasped, the burning pain in his lungs dissipated, and he felt much lighter.

Constantine excitedly pursed his lips, hardly believing that Kino had healed him with just a small bottle of water.

Everything was over. Constantine had received the healing potion made of Amber Gold, successfully curing his smoke-damaged lungs.

Constantine tightened his trench coat, waved to the two, and left the building.

He looked at Kino intently: "I owe you one."

He had only provided a piece of information, but he received a potion that could cure chronic illnesses.

"Finally over."

Zatanna breathed a sigh of relief and glanced at Kino. She saw the young man holding a strange Mask, and was a little curious.

"What is this?"

"Just a simple toy."

Kino shook the Mask. It wasn't that he was deliberately hiding anything, but there was no need to tell Zatanna about concepts that were beyond the universe.

"Alright, wanna come over to my place?" Zatanna asked, rubbing her cheeks casually.

"Maybe next time."

Kino smiled. "I've got some things to take care of."

"Alright."

Zatanna shrugged, said goodbye to Kino, and summoned a teleportation array to leave.

Kino was the only one left in the entire building.

The young man looked down at the Mask in his hand, pondering whether to try it on.

But, after a moment of thought, Kino made a decision: Play it safe.

He wouldn't easily trust a stranger, especially not the one and only supreme God of the Multiverse.

If the other party had hidden a trap under the Mask to exile him, it might be difficult to return to the DC Universe.

Kino put away the Mask, deciding to return to Smallville and consult with the bald brothers to ensure there was no danger before deciding whether to embark on an adventure within the Multiverse.

Metropolis. The cold wind swept through the icy streets, carrying gusts of chill.

Gabriel, wrapped only in a bedsheet, shivered as she walked down the street, helpless and confused. It wasn't enough that a human had roughly torn off her wings; she had just discovered something else.

Because she had colluded with Hell in an attempt to release the Child of Demons into the world, Heaven had stripped her of her right to be an angel.

In other words, Gabriel was now utterly reduced to the despicable humans she had once looked down upon.

"Whoosh~"

The surrounding streetlights flickered faintly, and Gabriel immediately tensed up: "Who's there!?"

"How pathetic, my brother."

A lazy voice echoed, and Gabriel turned around.

Beneath the streetlight, Lucifer in a white suit was toying with a coin in his hand, looking at his defeated comrade, a smile playing on his lips: "Interested in working for me?"

"Balthazar is dead, and I need a new human agent."

Gabriel silently stared at her former "brother," and then, a helpless bitter smile appeared on her handsome face: "I have no other choice, so I accept."

When Kino returned to his luxurious residence in Metropolis, which had countless security measures, he received a call from Lex at the same time.

Kino had been busy during this time, and Lex hadn't been idle either.

Using the fat-absorbing factor from Batgirl Julie, Lex's underground experimental base successfully created a weight-loss miracle drug. With the help of pharmaceutical representatives and media outlets controlled by the Lex family, it successfully took the entire United States by storm.

The company's stock, which had been stagnant, soared as if injected with adrenaline.

The crisis facing LexCorp was thus easily resolved by Lex.

To put it simply, Kino could go back.

Kino wasn't surprised by this news; he believed in Lex's abilities.

Chuckling, the young man said to the other end of the phone, "I'm looking forward to going back to the town, and I've prepared some gifts for you, Lex."

Three days later.

Smallville.

The familiar cornfields displayed the sign: "Welcome to the Global Capital of Creamy Corn."

A sudden gust of wind swept through the cornfields, snapping several stalks.

Kino soared across the town at incredible speed, locating the LexCorp chemical plant.

"Mr. Luthor."

Many of the plant's employees greeted Kino with smiles.

Kino responded with a smile.

He entered the elevator, pressing the metal button for "-1".

As the elevator cables whirred to life, Kino descended into the underground experimental base.

He hadn't been back in a while, and Kino noticed the changes. The already heavy metal electronic doors were more advanced, with two automated remote-controlled machine guns mounted at the top.

Kino entered the password.

"Clang!"

The metal door opened,

and the young man saw a blur rushing towards him.

"Whoosh!"

Far faster than the shadow, Kino sidestepped. The next instant, Bizarro, clad in casual home attire, slammed heavily into the metal door.

The security door buckled and twisted, but Bizarro, with his pale, ghastly skin, got up as if nothing had happened. A憨厚 smile spread across his cracked face: "Uncle Kino."

Bizarro was very happy to see someone he hadn't seen in a long time.

"What are you grinning about?" Kino sighed, pulling a candy from his pocket. "Here, I grabbed this in Metropolis. It's for you."

"Thanks, Uncle Kino!"

The enormous, two-meter-tall Bizarro grinned, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth. He snatched the candy, and without even unwrapping it, popped it into his mouth, chewing and swallowing.

"Sweet!" Bizarro exclaimed, clenching his fists like a child who had just tasted something delicious.

Ignoring Bizarro, Kino scanned the underground laboratory and quickly found Lex.

At that moment, the bald Lex was busy working in front of a sophisticated machine.

Hearing footsteps behind him, Lex didn't look up, and quipped:

"What surprise gift has Mr. Kino prepared for me?"

Kino pulled out a rolling chair and lay back, tossing the Mask to Lex, "Study this for me."

Lex caught the Mask. It felt thin and cold in his hand, and even in the underground base lit by countless white lights, it emitted a dazzling blue glow.

Lex's vast knowledge allowed him to rule out the Mask being made of silk. He narrowed his eyes, clenching the Mask tightly, a look of fervor on his face: "The material of this thing doesn't exist on Earth."

Lex's scientific soul was burning brightly.

"There was originally a pair of angel wings, but unfortunately, they seem to be unable to last long after leaving the angel."

Kino flipped his hand slightly, retrieving an Angel Sword from his magic space.

"It seems you experienced a lot this time." Lex carefully placed the Mask into a storage box, glancing at the sword in Kino's hand.

"How is Lionel?" Kino didn't answer, instead asking about the blind Lionel.

He was a little curious about Lex's choice.

"I didn't give him the serum." Lex pursed his lips, the light reflecting off his bald head, making it seem to "bling bling."

"He seems to have noticed my experiment in this town."

"So, to keep it secret, it's better to let him stay blind."

Kino was speechless; these two were truly a father and son duo.
