Chapter 8 - 304

"Chu Han killed them."

Ding Siyao's calm, flat statement landed like a massive boulder in a lake, instantly stirring up towering waves. Everyone who had just barely calmed down was once again shocked beyond words.

Did Chu Han kill them? How was that possible?!

There were over five thousand zombies — enough to form a terrifying horde that could force them into a desperate battle — plus more than a hundred mutants. How could Chu Han have possibly killed all of them?!

"Heh." An Ze was the first to express disbelief. He glanced at Ding Siyao with a mocking tone. "Lying on an official report is a serious crime. You'd better tell the truth. It's understandable if Chu Han joined the fight to earn some merit, but there's no need to pin everything on him, right? He killed them all? You're saying he did it alone?"

That's right! Chu Han couldn't have done it. This kind of feat would require a proper army with a well-planned strategy.

Unfortunately, Ding Siyao's next words left everyone stunned once more: "Correct. Chu Han did it alone."

"You're lying!" An Ze's eyes turned bloodshot as he immediately refuted. "That's impossible!"

Ding Siyao looked at him, then took a deep breath: "I swear on my life — everything I said is true."

Without waiting for the crowd to recover from their shock, Ding Siyao turned to Bai Yun'er and gave his report: "Enemy forces numbered five thousand. Our side had only five people. Yuan Xiye was unconscious. Li Yi and Wei An's mission was to protect her. I was positioned in the rear. But then the rain started, and it became pitch black, so I never got the chance to fight. In the end, victory was achieved — all by Chu Han alone."

The moment those words left his mouth, the entire group erupted.

"Chu Han fought five thousand zombies by himself?!"

"Oh my god! How… how the hell did he do that?"

"And did you notice? Ding Siyao said it was during heavy rain and total darkness. That should have been a huge disadvantage for humans, right? Zombies don't rely on sight anyway."

"Yeah! One man annihilating five thousand zombies plus a hundred mutants — these numbers sound fake as hell!"

"They do sound fake, but Ding Siyao swore on his life, and when we arrived,d there was literally no one else here. The only people who could have fought were these five."

"Besides Chu Han, none of the others are even injured."

"It's obvious at this point."

"He really did kill them all by himself."

"No matter what method he used or how he did it, the result is clear."

Shocked exclamations poured out from the soldiers, eventually turning into pure admiration and reverence. Only now did they truly understand why the big shots in the military valued Chu Han so highly and had even sent multiple search teams to find him.

The name Chu Han was synonymous with miracles!

An Ze was so furious he could barely control himself. The mixture of unwillingness and humiliation nearly drove him insane. Commander Mu had sent him here to deal with the mutant problem in An Luo City, but the moment he arrived, the problem had already been solved. Not only did Chu Han steal his credit, but he had also wiped out five thousand zombies!

How could An Ze swallow this insult?!

This achievement and glory should have belonged to him!

"You've worked hard." Bai Yun'er's voice remained calm and emotionless. This time, she finally looked directly at Ding Siyao, her tone serious: "Please make sure to report the real situation to the higher-ups."
