"Ma-son– st- stop!" I struggled with my words as he grasped my chin and claimed my lips hungrily. He had me pinned on the wall, trapping me to a corner. My struggles to get free from him were fruitless as his hold on me was strong. An angry growl rumbled and echoed in the classroom and in the blink of an eye, I saw Mason being pulled aggressively away from me. He was shoved violently to the ground and I saw Derek sitting on him and landing him several punches on the face. I couldn't do anything. I only clasped my hands around my mouth as I watched them fight.
Everyone's gazes were on them the whole time while some students brought out their phones to record the fight between Derek and Mason. Some attempted to separate them, but were unable to do so because Derek refused to back out at any time. He roared, and his pupils turned a bright yellow. It was his wolf! It almost took over. I haven't seen it before, but I am confident that it is his wolf.
Mason must have exceeded the limit. He infuriated Derek. I can't believe I'm the cause of this. I sobbed as I looked about, hoping someone would separate them. The entire class did nothing. All they did was observe them as if they were in a wrestling ring. Some cheered and supported Derek while some supported Mason.
Enzo, the Alpha's son, stepped into the scene and with rage written on his face, he dragged Derek off Mason. He shoved Derek to the ground before helping Mason to get up.
My eyes widened and my heart race tripled when I saw Enzo and Mason walking towards Derek with angry blazing eyes. Mason had some bruises on his skin and his lips were starting to bleed.
Oh! No! I'm afraid something bad will happen. The injuries on Mason's face are very visible. What if his parents see it? His dad is a very strict person? What if they expel Derek from the school?
"You think cos you're a new kid you can have your way here? Who the bloody hell are you?!" Enzo asked as he tilted his head in both directions with his hands. His buttons were opened and his white singlet was visible to my face. His broad chest and studded muscles were clearly visible even in his uniform. He had an athletic build like Derek but he was a little taller than Derek.
Mason sank his fingers into his hair and they both walked towards him with rage, their countenance daring and threatening. Derek got on his feet and dusted his sleeves with his fingers.
I ran at Derek's front and spread out my arms as I shook my head, not wanting them to harm him.
"Please.. please don't do anything to him.. He was only trying to defend me so why would you both gang up to bully him?" I asked and before I could say something else, Derek grabbed my arms and moved me to his back. He turned to face me, sliding his palms down my cheek, his gaze searching my face.
"You don't have to get involved in this, I think they'll have to learn the hard way for messing with you.. Trust me, I'll make Mason toothless. How dare he kiss you!" Derek hissed but before he could turn to face them, I grabbed his hands and mumbled.
"Derek, please.. You know how insane they can be. I don't want you to fight them all because of me. Mason is badly injured His - his parents.."
"Why do you care about Mason, urh? Tell me why you'd have any iota of sympathy for that fool! He just harassed you, Isabel. He kissed you forcefully without your consent. You're mine and no one else!" Derek yelled and there were audible gasps in the classroom. Everyone's face widened including Mason who had been finding it hard to believe.
I stared at everyone and I could see shock mixed with anger mixed with confusion on their faces.
"Isabel..Is Derek the mate you claim you have?! Tell me.. is he?!"
Mason asked, licking his botched lips as he stared at me.
Enzo's fists were still clenched and he stared at Derek with narrowed eyes which brimmed with contempt. He has always despised Derek because he captured the attention of the majority of the girls at school. He also despised him since he was a gifted athlete who excelled in sports similar to his own.
Derek is hated by two boys at school. Mason's parents are wealthy school sponsors, and Enzo is the Alpha's son. Derek is not safe here. I'm concerned they'll make up stories about him in order to expel him from school. Their parents are powerful and influential people, and I've heard of several things they do to commoners merely to gratify their children.
"Tell me Isabel.. is he your mate?" Mason asked while I stared at Derek with wide scared eyes. My lips trembled; I had no answer to give.
