The thunderclouds churned, and the heavens trembled. The Amaru form of Enel roared, lightning exploding and swirling around his body like a god's wrath descended, his pressure covering the entire Sky Island. His golden pupils were bloodshot, his killing intent almost tangible.
"Damn you, Blue Sea dwellers... to push me this far...!!!"
The thunder god's arms suddenly spread wide, and billions of volts of electricity condensed into a blindingly bright orb in his palms. The entire sky seemed to be twisted and stretched. High above, the clouds vibrated violently, countless bolts of lightning brewing and swirling within them as if the gates of heaven were opening.
"God's Punishment: THUNDERJAIL!!!"
BOOM—!!!
In an instant, hundreds of lightning bolts as thick as mountain pillars descended from the sky in a dense waterfall, sweeping across the heavens and earth. It was the destructive judgment of a "god," the lightning pillars piercing the sea of clouds like the spears of heaven's wrath.
Faced with such a divine punishment, the two brothers showed no sign of retreat.
"Ace!" Luffy's dragon eyes burned, and a furious wind swirled around him.
"I'm on it!" Ace's fists roared, his flames boiling.
—Brothers united, a duet of power!
Luffy took a deep breath, his dragon throat swelling. The pink scales on his body took on a metallic sheen as the dragon's breath inside him spun and compressed violently.
"Destructive Wind: RAMPAGE!!!"
With a deafening roar, his dragon breath poured out, a torrential storm of wind blades that blotted out the sky. The wind blades clashed with the lightning pillars, creating a cacophony of explosions, and managed to tear open a section of the lightning domain.
At the same time, the flames on Ace's arms condensed into a meteor, the azure fire twisting the air as it compressed into a massive pillar of fire. "Flame Commandment: EXPLOSIVE FLAME PILLAR!!!" He thrust his fists forward, and the pillar of fire shot into the sky, merging with Luffy's storm.
The moment the two powers combined, the wind fanned the flames, and the flames rode the wind, spinning and roaring together.
"BROTHERLY COMBO: TEMPEST RAMPAGE!!!"
BOOM—!!! BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!!
The spiral of fire and wind became a spear of destruction, piercing through the void and stabbing furiously at the thunder god.
Enel's face changed drastically. He tried to gather more lightning to defend himself, but in that moment, his Mantra sensed that his fate of being struck was now unavoidable.
"You've got to be kidding me! I AM A GOD!!!"
His Amaru body erupted in a blaze of light, his arms crossing to form thunder blades in a desperate block. "Thunder God: TEN THOUSAND VOLT WALL!!!" A defensive barrier formed from countless arcs of lightning, the sound of thunder becoming a roaring sea.
The fiery wind spiral slammed into it.
CRACK CRACK CRACK—!!!
The lightning shield shattered like glass. The pillar of wind and fire tore through the defensive line and struck Enel squarely in the chest.
"IMPOSSIBLE—!!!" Enel's eyes bulged. He spat out a mouthful of lightning and blood as his Amaru body began to distort violently. The thunder dissipated, the current going out of control. "Aaaaaaaah—!!!"
He screamed as he was engulfed by the wind and fire. The hundred-meter-tall thunder god exploded in the sky, shattering into a rain of light. The golden lightning fell like meteors into the distant sea of clouds.
BOOOOOM————!!!
The entire Sky Island shook like thunder. In the distance, countless Skypieans looked up at the sky. The thunder god that had once symbolized "divine might" was now falling like ashes, the scattered light raining down like a miracle.
God had been defeated.
They had won.
High in the sky, the pink dragon form slowly retracted. Amidst the dying flames, Luffy returned to his human form, his face a mix of excitement and exhaustion. Ace knelt on the cloud platform, his flames not yet fully extinguished, his lips curved into that familiar, roguish smile. "Hah... that was a hell of a rush."
The sky finally fell silent, only the clouds drifting gently, the setting sun illuminating the scars of the battlefield.
Conis stood on the shore of the clouds, her white dress fluttering, gazing at the sky that had been torn apart by the storm and the azure flames, tears shining in her eyes. She whispered, as if announcing it to the entire Sky Island, "They did it..."
"They... overthrew 'God'!!!"
For a moment, the entire battlefield fell silent, as if the air itself was holding its breath. The residents of Angel Island peeked out from their shelters, looking up at the sky in disbelief.
"They... they won?!"
"Enel... was defeated?!"
"God... has fallen?!"
After a brief, tense silence, in the next moment—
"WAAAAAAAAAH—!!!"
"We're free!!!"
"God has fallen—we're free!!!"
"Long live the heroes from the Blue Sea!!!"
A torrent of joy erupted in the streets. Crying, laughter, and shouting overlapped, sweeping across the island like a tidal wave. The residents of Angel Island, the remaining Shandians, and even the once-submissive White Berets all looked up at the few people from the Blue Sea—with awe, gratitude, and tears in their eyes.
On the other side of the clouds, Gan Fall, riding his sky-horse Pierre, led the remaining God's Guard and Shandian warriors, arriving just in time to witness the final moment of the "Thunder God's" fall. The old but resilient former God clenched his fists, tears streaming down his face. "Skypiea... is finally saved..."
On the ruined cloud platform, Ace and Luffy landed one after the other. Both were covered in wounds, their clothes scorched, but they wore the same smile. They looked at each other and bumped fists. Thud! The lingering glow of fire and dragon scales intersected, a silent understanding between brothers.
"Nice one, Luffy!"
"Hehe, Ace's flames were super cool too!"
Their laughter echoed in the sky, filled with the carefree relief of victors. Roy walked over slowly, his cloak billowing, his demeanor calm and composed. He stood before them, a lazy smile on his lips. "Well, well, not bad. My hellish training wasn't for nothing, I see."
Behind him, Zoro, Kuina, and Law also walked onto the platform.
Zoro crossed his arms and snorted. "Hmph, next time there's a fight like this, I won't be on the sidelines."
Kuina smiled slightly. "Your 'combo attack' was truly magnificent."
Law pushed up the brim of his hat, his expression as calm as ever. "However... that guy isn't dead yet."
Everyone's expression tensed, and they all looked towards the distant sea of clouds. Sure enough, in a patch of scorched clouds, a familiar figure staggered to his feet. The lightning had died out, but his rage remained.
Enel was covered in soot, his cloak in tatters. His golden eyes had lost their luster, but he still gritted his teeth and roared, "You... ants...!!!" He raised a trembling hand, trying to summon more lightning, but only managed a weak crackle. His electricity was depleted, his Haki out of control, his Mantra in disarray. He was powerless to fight on.
"Still want to struggle?"
The moment the voice sounded, his vision went black.
"What?! When did you—" Enel struggled to look up. A tall figure was standing before him. "How... my Mantra didn't react at all?! Faster than me?!"
Thump!
Roy raised a hand and lightly chopped the back of Enel's neck. Smack! Enel felt a massive force strike him. His eyes bulged, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.
The once-invincible "God" rolled his eyes back and fell to the ground, unconscious.
Everyone: "Did he really just...?"
Roy turned around, spread his hands, and announced casually, "Alright, 'God' has been taken care of! Time for a party, kids!"
"YEAAAAAH—!!!"
With a chorus of cheers, the group began their journey home. Under a sky free of lightning, Skypiea welcomed a true dawn.
