Grand Line, Unnamed Deserted Island
The sky was vast, without a cloud in sight, the sea and the sky one color. The warship was quietly docked at the shore of this unnamed deserted island. The waves lapped lazily at the reefs, as if also waiting for a certain "education class" to end.
This deserted island was a temporary "classroom" that Roy had casually chosen when he had teleported the warship back to the sea after leaving Skypiea.
In the center of the island was a giant crater, dozens of meters in diameter and over ten meters deep, as if a meteor had fallen there. At the bottom of the crater, Enel lay on his back on the scorched earth, his four limbs spread out, his face bruised and swollen, his blond hair a mess, his cape hanging in tatters on his shoulders, like a scorched bronze statue in a ruin.
His golden eyes were now empty, filled with an "existential crisis." He murmured, "I actually lost so easily..." his voice was low and trembling.
Just a few days ago, he had ruled Skypiea with the authority of a "god," where even the air was not allowed to disobey the thunder. Now he was lying on the ground like a beaten dog, contemplating the meaning of life.
All of this had started with a "rehabilitation battle."
In these few days, his injuries had almost healed. Although he no longer spouted the arrogant nonsense of "a god is invincible" after Roy's "polite human education treatment," his eyes still held a hint of contempt and defiance. He had always believed that if it weren't for Ace and Luffy ganging up on him, and if he hadn't underestimated his enemy, those Blue Sea people would have long since been turned to ash by his lightning.
And Roy had seen through this "remaining confidence" of his. So he had found a deserted island and said something like, "If you dare to call yourself a 'god' again, I'll break your teeth."
The battle had started without warning and ended surprisingly quickly. The moment the Seastone chains were unlocked, Enel's body was instantly wrapped in lightning, and he roared, "You ants of the Blue Sea! I will show you a true god...!!"
But before he could finish, Roy gently lifted his hand and tapped his finger. "Don't move."
Space instantly folded and collapsed like a mirror. Enel's lightning-form body was frozen in mid-air, his movements infinitely reset to their original position. —This move used a powerful teleportation ability to continuously teleport the enemy and the surrounding space back to their original position, creating an effect of being unable to move. It would not work against a powerful Haki user, but the current Enel was clearly not in that category.
He tried to break free but was horrified to find that he couldn't move at all. "Wh-what?!"
Roy strode over, his smile gentle and refined. "What did I just say? It seems the 'polite education' was not deep enough."
The next second, the air exploded.
"BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!"
Enel didn't even see Roy's movements. He only felt a blur in front of his eyes, followed by a storm of attacks on his face, chest, and abdomen. For five continuous minutes, a barrage of heavy punches, elbow strikes, knee strikes, sweeping kicks, and shoulder charges, all incredibly precise, from tricky angles, and with the force perfectly calibrated to the limit of "not dead, not disabled, but in extreme pain."
"Ugh, ah, eek, oh—!!"
Enel couldn't even let out a complete scream. He was like a human sandbag, tumbling and bouncing in the air, and was finally punched into the ground, landing on his back at the bottom of the crater, completely limp and without any ability to resist.
Roy shook his hand and said lightly, "Now, have you learned to speak like a human?"
At the edge of the crater, Ace, Luffy, Zoro, Kuina, and Law sat in a circle, leisurely drinking coconut juice and watching the "live broadcast."
"Big Brother Roy is so strong," Luffy's eyes widened, a half-eaten roasted chicken leg in his hand, his eyes full of stars.
Ace's mouth twitched. "This is not just strong. This is a different species."
Zoro had his arms crossed and his eyes closed, muttering to himself, "One day, I will challenge him."
Kuina turned to look at him and chuckled lightly. "You'll have to be able to take one of his punches first."
Law, on the other hand, adjusted his hat and said calmly, "Big Brother Roy... you're just going to leave him here like this? Aren't you afraid he'll run?"
Roy, who was walking over, didn't even turn his head, his tone lazy. "You can ask him if he dares to run."
As he spoke, Enel, in the crater, suddenly trembled, as if a cold wind had blown over his spine. Because his "Mantra" had already clearly told him. If he dared to move, even just a toe, the next second he would be teleported back and receive an upgraded beating.
So, he shut his mouth, lay quietly, and looked up at the sky, contemplating the logical structure of belief. Birds flew overhead, and the sun was gentle and bright, as if giving this defeated "god" some final psychological comfort.
—The thunder god had officially abdicated. The polite education of humans would never be absent.
The setting sun, like blood, fell on the island's broken rocks and deep crater. The wind, carrying a hint of sea salt, blew gently. After a long while, Enel staggered out of the deep crater step by step. He had his head down, his expression complex, his steps unsteady. He finally walked slowly to Roy.
After a long silence, he struggled to speak, his voice as hoarse as a broken gong. "What... do you want from me?"
Roy glanced at him, that "amiable smile" that was like that of an elder and a teacher on his lips. "It's simple. From today on, you are no longer some 'god,' but a 'person'."
"Either you obediently come with us and accept the Navy's 're-education'."
"Or..." He slowly raised his fist, cracking his knuckles with a "crack, crack, crack," his tone leisurely, "I can continue to help you consolidate your 'human cognition'."
Cold sweat dripped down Enel's forehead. He gritted his teeth for a few seconds and finally said in a low voice, "I... will go with you."
"Very good," Roy nodded in satisfaction. "You're finally starting to look like a person."
Under the setting sun, the warship slowly departed from the deserted island. Enel, wearing special Seastone cuffs, was locked in the ship's heavy-duty prison, and was also "thoughtfully" provided with a special textbook, Moral Cultivation and Cognitive Reshaping.
Luffy was趴 on the ship's rail, the wind blowing his black hair, looking at the red-dyed sea horizon from the afterglow, and asked loudly, "Big Brother Roy, where are we going next?"
Roy stretched lazily in his lounge chair. "Well, let's go back to Marine Headquarters first."
On the deck, the night wind was gentle, and the stars were gradually appearing. Ace was chewing on an apple with a bottle of Skypiea's drink. Luffy was趴 on the ship's rail, burping. Kuina and Zoro were sitting side-by-side, looking at the starry sky.
"Your slashes recently are much steadier than before," Kuina suddenly said, looking at the two swords at Zoro's waist.
"Mm," Zoro nodded, but his eyes were not relaxed. "But the more I practice, the more I feel that the two-sword style is not enough."
Zoro was silent for a moment, then said slowly, "In my recent training, my speed and reaction have been pushed to their limit, but I always feel that that 'force'—is missing something."
"You're missing a third sword, right?" Kuina hit the nail on the head.
"Yes. I want to try to create the three-sword style I've been thinking about," Zoro's tone was unusually laced with a hint of frustration. "But I haven't found a good enough third sword yet." (In the original story, Zoro inherited Kuina's will and made a vow to work hard for both of them, which is when he started to train in his famous three-sword style. Here, I've changed it so that he came up with the idea of creating the three-sword style himself~)
Just then, Roy, who had been dozing in his chair, slightly opened one eye. Hearing their conversation, a slight smile appeared on his lips. "As expected, the three-sword style Zoro is the coolest..." He suddenly sat up, stretched lazily, and then said, as if unintentionally, "Well, a good sword... I seem to remember a place that has a pretty good one."
Zoro's ears twitched, and he immediately sat up straight. "What good sword?"
"I think it's one of the 21 Great Grade Swords or something~"
"!!!" Zoro was so excited he stood up straight. Even Kuina couldn't help but let out a gasp of surprise. "Big Brother Roy, are you serious?"
"Uh-huh," Roy just smiled. "But if you want to get that sword, you have to pass a little test from old man Kizaru first."
"Kizaru... Instructor?!" Hearing this, Zoro's face turned green. "You mean the guy who can kick me off the island and then make me swim back on my own?!"
Ace chewed on an apple core with a "crack, crack." "Uncle Kizaru is too ruthless..."
Law, on the other hand, was as calm as ever. "It's not impossible to pass, it's just... quite painful."
Kuina chuckled lightly and shook her head slightly. "Are you afraid of pain, Mr. Swordsman?"
Hearing this, Zoro's gaze immediately burned like a blade. He gripped the two swords at his waist. "...Six months."
"In six months, I will definitely touch Instructor Kizaru," he said, word by word, his voice firm and resonant. "I will make myself worthy of a real third sword."
"Then I'll be waiting~" Roy said, yawning as he leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. "Remember what you said today."
The night was deep, and the stars were scattered like silver sand. The warship cut through the waves, its sails fluttering, the banner held high, the two characters for "Justice" swaying in the night sky. Zoro looked down at the hilt in his hand, his expression determined.
