The shadow fell back first onto the ground.
Quinlan pushed forward and slammed the shovel onto its face. This time it didn't work however. The shadow creature slapped the shovel away and shot a tentacle to Quinlan.
"Welp! My job here is done!"
Quinlan threw the shovel into the shadow creature's tentacles and ran as fast as possible. He was only there to stop the shadow creature.
Ashe pulled the trigger and shot at the tentacle, covering Quinlan so that he could run away.
Bas and Siderius rushed at the shadow creature. Siderius was much faster than Bas and he came to it first.
"Esturo!"
The sigil lit up in the air as its effect overwhelmed the shadow creature. Its attack toward Quinlan was interrupted immediately.
Siderius jumped and spun in the air, driving the Silver Hawk onto the neck of the humanoid shadow brute.
He decapitated it in one strike. But the shadow creature didn't die yet. Its headless body tried to stand up.
