Chapter 55 - Chapter 055: If You Want to Die, Why Run Around?

Whoosh!

Boom!

Suddenly, a flaming pteranodon dove from the sky, its sharp beak slamming into King Ghidorah's head, erupting into a burst of flames.

Blazing fire instantly engulfed Ghidorah's entire head but extinguished just as quickly, leaving behind wisps of black smoke curling into the air.

Ghidorah shook his head slightly, the smoke dispersing as his beastly pupils shifted to lock onto the figure hovering in midair—King.

"Brat."

The voice was flat and emotionless. No one could tell what it meant.

The members of the Beasts Pirates, seeing the lead All-Star appear, immediately acted like they had found their pillar of strength. One by one, they shrank behind King, who was completely clad in black and wore a mask.

"Boss King, that guy is attacking Onigashima!"

"He knocked out Lord Queen and Lord Jack too!"

"…"

Although calm and composed, King knew full well he wasn't a match for this being. But with Kaido still out seeking death and nowhere to be found, he was now the strongest left on Onigashima.

Hearing the barrage of complaints, King narrowed his eyes slightly and asked in a low, serious voice:

"You've come to Onigashima… What's your purpose?"

"I was originally here to find Kaido… but it seems I'm a little unlucky."

"My boss will return soon. If you don't mind waiting, please refrain from causing any more destruction to Onigashima."

Faced with the terrifying creature, King had no choice but to lower his stance.

That earlier strike hadn't injured the opponent at all, and instead had left King's own blood and energy surging from the shock.

Right now, the best option was to try and appease the creature until Kaido returned.

Rumble!

Hearing King's words, Ghidorah pulled his tail free from Onigashima's giant skull and glanced at him.

"I can wait—but…"

"You'll have to chat with me."

King frowned at that, glancing around at the damage before nodding.

"Fine."

With that, he flew past Ghidorah toward the edge of the island.

Ghidorah flapped his wings and followed, his beastly golden eyes filled with reminiscence as he watched the flames flickering from King's back.

At the edge of Onigashima, the massive golden three-headed beast lay resting, seemingly lost in thought.

Dressed all in black and masked, King stood silently nearby like a bodyguard. His gaze frequently flicked to the side, stealing glances at the colossal creature.

Though his expression was hidden, the rapid beating of his heart betrayed his shock.

Nothing escaped Ghidorah's perception. Slowly, he opened his golden eyes and looked at the winged figure.

"You're the last surviving Lunarian, aren't you?"

Though he already knew the answer, he couldn't help but ask.

The moment the word "Lunarian" came out, King's body trembled violently. He turned sharply to the massive beast beside him, eyes wide with disbelief.

"You… How do you know that?"

"There's nothing in this world I don't know."

"The Lunarians possess incredible adaptability. They can survive in any environment. And more importantly…"

Ghidorah paused.

King frowned, noticing the silence, and asked:

"More importantly, what?"

After a moment, Ghidorah spoke again, his voice calm:

"More importantly… they were once known as a divine race since ancient times."

"I imagine your current plight must be due to those old bastards from Bicca (OC)."

Bicca?

At the mention of that name, King involuntarily shuddered again.

At the same time, a far deeper question emerged in his mind—

"How does he know about Bicca—that obscure little island?"

As if reading his mind, Ghidorah added softly:

"Bicca… was once my home as well."

"If you really are a Lunarian, then you must've heard the name Lunaria Class."

What!!!

The moment he heard the name Lunaria Class, King could no longer maintain his composure. His eyes widened as he stared at the giant beast beside him.

When he was a child, back when his family was still alive, his mother had often mentioned that name.

To the Lunarians, Class was not just a name—it was legend, ancestor, and hero all in one.

It was said that the very reason their people had managed to live on the surface of the world was thanks to Class.

The exact details? No one knew.

But to every Lunarian, Class was a sacred name—untouchable, unchallengeable.

Even now, with King the only one left, he still clung to what his mother had told him:

One day, their hero would return to the world.

But… this can't be right.

"You—there's no way. I don't know where you heard the name Lunaria Class… but please don't joke about someone else's faith."

"Otherwise, even if it costs me my life…"

As he spoke, King slowly placed his hand on his sword hilt, flames blazing from his back.

"…I'll give everything I have to make you pay for your insult!"

"Hmph."

Ghidorah snorted coldly.

"Brat. Put away that pitiful flame of yours."

"Ghidorah is just the name of my Devil Fruit."

"Then… Uranos?" King asked, confused.

"Uranos was just a title—'Sky King.' Some arrogant fools added it later," Ghidorah replied dismissively.

"Then what about the 'D'?" King pressed, even more puzzled.

"'D', huh?"

"They're just a bunch of—"

"GHIDORAH!!"

Just as he began to explain, a deafening roar shook the skies. Thunder and lightning erupted as a blue dragon dove from above.

"A nuisance has arrived," Ghidorah muttered. "King, you should leave Onigashima. This place no longer has any meaning."

With a loud BOOM, Ghidorah soared upward, his cold words echoing in King's ears.

King stared silently at the massive form rising into the sky, unable to draw his sword.

Ghidorah's words left him conflicted.

After all, he was now the only Lunarian left. No one should know the truth of their ancient past.

Especially not the name Class—no outsider could possibly know that.

Right now, more than anything, he wanted to know…

What really happened to the Lunarians back then?

BOOM!!!

The two colossal beings collided high above Onigashima, producing a massive shockwave. The air exploded outward like radiation, buffeting the entire island.

Onigashima quaked violently under the pressure of their clash.

Down below, King stared in disbelief at the titanic collision above.

Realizing the danger, he bolted into the island's main hall and found the unconscious Queen and Jack.

He quickly evacuated them from the skull-shaped structure.

Flames and lightning streaked across the sky as violent winds swept over the island.

With another earth-shattering explosion, the skull's roof cracked open from the impact.

This was just their first exchange—and it was already this destructive.

There was no need to imagine what would come next.

Onigashima… might truly cease to exist.

"Gurururu… Such tough scales… You've actually managed to make me feel pain."

"Let's see if you can really kill me!"

High above, standing atop clouds in his dragon form, Kaido narrowed his eyes at the golden, three-headed beast before him.

"You want to die?"

"I can grant that wish…"

"No need to run around for it."
