As Derek continued basking in his new found situation and overall reality, he suddenly stopped when he heard a loud noise.

*Grrrr!*

His stomach grumbling.

Immediately after this occured Derek moved both his hands to it and then began gently rubbing it.

"Damn, I'm starving." He muttered.

He then began sorting through his various new memories to see of the original Derek Cowan of the world he now calls home had anything to eat around.

In a few short seconds he had his answer.

Getting up Derek walked over to a nearby cabinet and opened it up.

Once he did he immediately saw some Apple Jacks, along with some crackers, and a few canned goods resting inside.

Some of the only edible things the original Derek of this world could get his hands on due to his now homeless status.

'Yeah. Definitely going to need to handle that. And sooner rather than later." Derek thought.

But that was a problem he would deal with once he ate.

On that note reaching into the cabinet he grabbed a cans of beans, along with a can of sausages.

Then once he did Derek brought them over to a table and opened them up.

He then opened up one of the plastic sporks on the table and began eating both.

Finding the taste of both not bad.

The only issue he had was that both the meat and beans were stone cold.

But Derek just decided to deal with it. Since his new home didn't have a microwave, of device to heat up food of any kind.

But as Derek remembered this he also remembered an episode of Static Shock from his previous life where Virgil had used his powers on food.

"Wait, could I..?" He asked himself.

The gears in Derek's head turning.

"Yeah, let's give it a try." He spoke.

Derek then stopped eating, picked up the can of beans, and began focusing electricity into his hands, that were holding it.

A second later he started to feel the can heat up, and he also saw the bean juices inside begin to bubble.

Leading him to smile.

"Alright." Derek mused.

But a second after he did he started to feel the bean can bending in his hands.

"Wait, no. That's not right. Stop." Derek said.

Yet no matter what the bean can continued to bend, until a minute later the beans inside exploded outward.

Derek having crushed the can, since the electricity he was using on it had melted it.

Letting me know he seriously needed to work on his power control and electrical output.

Taking note of this he put the now deformed can down and went back to eating his sausages.

Deciding not to try and warm them up.

Lest he fail the same as he did with the beans.

So with that Derek finished up his sausages.

He then moved to clean up.

After which he sat down and began to ponder his next move.

Taking into account all the facts.

He was fifteen again.

He was in a Marvel Universe.

He was a mutant with the powers of Static Shock.

He was homeless, with no family to speak of in his new life, that he knew of.

But on the brightside, once again, he has superpowers.

Not to mention knowledge of likely what was to come in the world around him.

He also has the skills from his previous life, which includes a full masters degree in computer engineering.

So overall he wasn't that bad off.

Still, despite this he couldn't come up with a definitive answer on what he wanted to do next.

"Maybe I should sleep on this." Derek decided.

Since he was feeling tired.

So with that he moved over to old mattress and laid down on it.

But not before covering up the hole he had blasted in the wall with his electric blast earlier.

Once this happened it didn't take more than a few minutes before Derek was in dreamland.

Yawning, Derek slowly began smacking his lips as he opened up his eyes.

Once he did he sat up and took a few seconds before standing up.

After which he moved over to a bucket in jre corner of her room the original Derek of his new home universe had set up as a makeshift bathroom.

Once he did he relieved himself.

Only to immediately zip up his pants and put himself on guard, when he heard a loud noise echo through the building.

Turning around Derek's eyes began darting around the room, sparks of electricity crackling on his hands.

At the same kind this occured in his eyes he also started to see shapes and outlines filled with electrical energy.

"Ah, what the fuck?!" Derek cried.

Feeling a slight headache and pain in his eyes.

"How do I turn this off?" He asked.

The flashes continuing.

That is until Derek suddenly heard a voice.

"Like, are you okay?"

"Agh!!" Derek shouted in the direction of the voice.

Electricity leaping from his hands in its direction.

Leading him to create another hole in the building.

But one larger than earlier.

Though as the dust cleared from the hole Derek made, he found himself staring at a very familiar face.

One that belonged to none other than Katherine "Kitty" Pryde.

Also known as Shadowcat.

A member of the iconic Marvel mutant superhero team known as the X-Men.

Kitty looking exactly like she did in the X-Men: Evolution television series he watched on his previous life.

Where all the X-Men were teenagers for the most part.

And it looks like in his new reality that's true as well.

Not to mention he seems to be the same age as them.

While he took all this in Derek didn't notice Kitty was looking at him.

More specifically the electricity dancing across his hands.

"Kitty, what happened?"

Though she dropped doing so when Storm walked into the area.

Followed by Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler, and Anna Marie/Rogue.

The two of them also looking like they did in the X-Men: Evolution television series.

When the three of them appeared Derek turned his gaze and attention to them.

Leading them all to also in turn look at him.

...

...

...

"Hello there." Derek spoke.

Breaking the silence.

"Like, did you just make a Star Wars reference dude?" Kitty asked.

"Yes. Yes I did." Derek admitted without a hint of shame.

Finding it as good an opening as ever to greet the X-Men.
