Chapter 204 - Chapter 203: The Spiritualization Art

Chapter 203: The Spiritualization Art

"Brother-in-law, when can I go to the battlefield?" Nawaki asked, stopping his practice upon seeing Sasuke arrive.

"Why? Do you want to go back to Konoha already?" Sasuke joked.

"No," Nawaki replied quietly, his expression somewhat depressed. His cheerful personality had been replaced by a more taciturn temperament. Fortunately, he didn't have mental problems like the Uchiha who awakened the Mangekyo; he had simply become more mature.

"If you want to go back and see your grandmother, practice hard and master the art of erasing faces as soon as possible. Then I will also grant your wish to go to the battlefield."

"Really?" Nawaki suddenly became energetic.

"How could I lie to you?" Sasuke said, rubbing his little head. "As long as you master the technique, you can easily return to the village with a different identity. Then I'll assign you to my command, and sending you to the battlefield will be a matter of a single word."

Orochimaru's face-erasing technique was more than a simple transformation; it was a Yang Style technique that involved a permanent physical disguise. It was the ultimate spy ability.

"Brother-in-law, how did you master the technique so quickly?" Nawaki asked.

"As long as you master the whetstone training method, improve your chakra control to the level of a medical ninja, and learn some Yang Style, you will naturally master this jutsu."

Seeing Nawaki training with discipline, Sasuke headed to the underground Lab Zero. After reviewing the data, he began practicing the Spiritualization Technique.

'This technique relies heavily on talent, and the risk is terribly high,' he thought. It was no wonder that Dan was the only one in Konoha who mastered it. He discovered that it bore surprising similarities to Orochimaru's Living Corpse Reincarnation Technique; in fact, it encompassed it. Besides allowing the soul to separate from the body, wander, possess, and destroy the souls of others, it also allowed for permanent possession.

Overall, the technique consisted of four challenges: soul separation, maintenance, control, and finally, return. Many veterans had run into the initial difficulty of returning to the body. Once the soul separated, it was often lost, disintegrating before it could find its way back.

Instead of attempting separation immediately, Sasuke practiced the visualization method described in the scroll, raising his soul strength to a safe threshold. He was surprised that the ninja world had something so impressive. As his status rose, he gradually gained access to some of the world's hidden secrets, and he discovered that these kinds of methods were typical of the major temples or martial arts schools of the Land of Iron, part of an ancient cultivation system.

Although this method did not significantly increase soul strength, he discovered that it was incredibly effective for restoring mental strength. He had just started practicing and had already lost track of time. If not for the timer, he would have thought he had just taken a nap. It was far more effective than the whetstone method, especially for recovering from mental fatigue caused by shadow clones.
