"Yeah, it's me," Haoran replied, voice soft and caring. His eyes were full of worry.
"Haoran." Zixuan called out again, this time not as a question but as a confirmation that Haoran was really standing in front of him.
"Yes?" Haoran patiently responded.
Zixuan only looked at him, tears falling like petals from his eyes.
"Why?" Haoran didn't get the chance to ask the reason for Zixuan's tears before Zixuan pushed himself up, pulling Haoran into his embrace.
"You're alive?" he asked, tears still spilling with no intention of stopping
"Yep. You're hugging me right now." A smile formed on Haoran's lips, happy that Zixuan was worried about him.
It meant something.
"So it was only a dream?" Zixuan murmured in confusion. But why did the dream feel so vivid? He did not want anything to happen to Haoran.
He tightened his hug.
Haoran was also reluctant to separate from it, but seeing the drip connected to Zixuan's wrist about to slip out, he gently pushed him back.
