As Marowak went, Ash wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Damn it, you're smart to leave. If you hadn't, I would've beaten you to death. Oh, right, you were already dead. I'm still pretty awesome." As he spoke, Ash laughed triumphantly.
His actions earned him the disdain of all the Pokémon. "You beat it... You even hit us when you were hitting that Pokémon. How dare you..." The Pokémon thought to themselves, but Ash couldn't hear them. If he had known, he would have spit blood. "I'm still your master. You don't have to look down on me like that."
Ash didn't recall the Pokémon into their balls but instead led them toward the seventh floor. As soon as he reached the seventh floor, he was blinded by the sunlight, making it hard for him to open his eyes.
When he finally opened them, he saw four people: an old man tied up on one side with his mouth stuffed, and a Cubone beside him. There was no doubt that this was the town mayor.
Two men wearing Team Rocket uniforms stood beside the old man, guarding him.
A few meters away, a young girl with silver-colored long hair, who looked to be around 15 or 16 years old, was lying on a chair, drinking juice and playing on her computer. At her feet was a Persian.
Everyone noticed Ash. The two Team Rocket men looked at Ash with suspicion, while the mayor seemed to see hope and shouted for help, but due to the gag, only muffled sounds could be heard.
"You're here," the silver-haired girl said expressionlessly as she placed her computer on the nearby table. Her silver eyes locked with Ash's, and he felt a chill run down his spine.
"You know me?" Ash asked with a frown, as he had no memory of this girl.
The silver-haired girl took a sip of juice from her mouth, placed the fruit on the table, picked up the computer again, withdrew her gaze from Ash's line of sight, and continued typing on the computer while speaking in a voice devoid of any emotion: "Dr. Steel once mentioned you. When I found out you had left Vermilion City, I sent someone to arrange this incident in Lavender Town to lure you here."
"Lure me here?? What exactly are you trying to do? And how did you know I'd come back? What if I hadn't?" Ash asked multiple questions at once, completely unsure of what this girl wanted from him.
"Hmph~" The girl heard Ash's questions and her lips curled into a slight smile. "I just wanted to see what kind of person could make Dr. Steel suffer so much. Besides, whether you come or not doesn't matter much to me. If you come, I can see what kind of person you are. If you don't, I'll just take what I need from here. Either way, I won't be at a disadvantage."
The girl, who had been cold all along, gave a slight smile at that moment, and Ash found it quite charming.
"What do you want?" Ash asked again.
"Sorry, that's not something you need to know," the girl replied in a cold tone, her gaze returning to the computer.
Ash had no idea how to deal with such a cold girl, but upon closer inspection, he noticed that she was quite beautiful. Her silver-colored short hair just covered her neck, her fair-skinned profile, and her eyes the same color as her hair, and a pink cherry-red mouth. She was wearing a black Team Rocket bodysuit that highlighted her figure. Though she hadn't fully developed yet, the slight curve of her chest was still somewhat alluring.
Ash shook his head at the thought, 'Damn it, even now, I'm still thinking about this.' Ash felt helpless about his desires. Before he met the Lust God, he was a decent person. But since boarding the Lust God's ship, Ash could be described as… sigh… increasingly lustful and increasingly unruly.
"Since you've already seen me, what do you think of me?" Ash calmed his mind, refusing to dwell on those lustful thoughts, and asked calmly.
"We'll see." The girl didn't look at Ash but instead tapped Persian on the forehead. Persian understood and stood up, launching a Swift attack at Ash without warning, sending star-shaped rays.
Ash was startled but reacted quickly, immediately having Ivysaur use a Razor Leaf attack. The Razor Leaf collided with the stars from Swift attack, causing an explosion forming a brief smoke curtain. Though it lasted only an instant, Persian had already launched another attack. Persian opened its mouth and fired a Shadow Ball toward Ash. The Shadow Ball pierced through the smoke curtain, but fortunately, Ash reacted quickly and dodged to the side just as the Shadow Ball broke through the smoke curtain, leaving it to strike empty air.
"Damn it, he just attacked directly. Ivysaur, use Vine Whip." Ash had Ivysaur confront the Persian.
"Ivysaur." Ivysaur swung its two thick vines at the Persian.
"Double Team." The girl manipulated the computer while issuing commands.
"Purr," Persian casually created four clones, "Power Gem." The girl said again.
"Purr," the four Persians opened their mouths simultaneously, firing four beams of gem-like energy toward Ivysaur.
"Ivysaur, use Substitute." Ash immediately commanded.
"Ivysaur." Ivysaur shook itself, and another Ivysaur identical to itself appeared in front of it. Ivysaur jumped back, and all four Power Gem beams struck the clones.
"Use Razor Leaf to eliminate all the clones." Ash said again.
"Ivysaur." Ivysaur launched eight Razor Leaf attacks toward the Persians.
"Jump up, Swift." The girl never once looked at the battlefield, instead continuing to fiddle with the computer while issuing commands. This dismissive attitude infuriated Ash.
"Ivysaur, use Vine Whip to knock them all down." Ash shouted.
After the Razor Leaf, Ivysaur used the Vine Whip. Although Persian jumped to avoid the Razor Leaf, he couldn't dodge the Vine Whip. Persian was struck by the Vine Whip, let out a scream, and flew away.
Persian flew out, but before landing, he stabilized his feet, twisted his neck, and looked down on Ivysaur with disdain.
"He's fine." Ash was surprised to see that Ivysaur's Vine Whip had no effect on Persian, because this wasn't an ordinary Vine Whip. This was a vine whip that had been enhanced multiple times. To put it simply, this vine whip was so powerful that even the flame breath of a Charmander of the same level couldn't defeat it, instead, the Charmander would be flew away by a single strike from the vine whip. How high must Persian's level be?
"Alright, that's enough." The girl finally closed the laptop and recalled Persian.
"That's enough for today. I've gotten what I needed." The girl packed her things, placed the laptop in her backpack, and gave Ash a dismissive glance with her silver hair.
"What is it?? What is your true purpose?" Ash asked.
"I'm sorry, but you have no right to know." The girl replied emotionlessly.
"No right, huh?" Ash narrowed his eyes. This statement annoyed him, so he activated the ability of his right eye to try to control the girl. When his right eye met hers, a voice rang out: "Ding! Control level insufficient. The target is protected by the Boss's Elite Aura. Only by defeating the Boss can you control them."
"Damn it, what the hell is this nonsense?" Ash cursed under his breath upon hearing the voice.
"Alright, I hope you'll surprise me next time we meet. You're just too weak right now." The girl gave Ash one last glance before turning away. She waved to the two Team Rocket members beside her, who approached. The girl pulled out a spherical object and tossed it onto the ground, releasing a thick cloud of black smoke that obscured Ash's vision.
"Wait, who are you?!" Ash shouted...
"White." The girl's voice came from within the smoke. As the smoke dissipated, the Team Rocket members were gone, leaving only a large hole in the glass.
"White..." Ash memorized the name, thinking to himself, "Wait until we meet again. I'll definitely take care of you." This was the first time someone had treated Ash like this since he had come to this world.
Ash rescued the town mayor, who grabbed Ash's hand and wouldn't let go, expressing his gratitude profusely. Ash just nodded a few times to brush it off, his mind completely focused on the matter of White.
"Ding! Mission completed: Obtained 10 slave points, one Ghost ball, one Flute, one Cubone, obtained the title 'Soul Burier,' physical enhancement +1, main attribute enhancement +1 for all Pokémon, all Pokémon levels increased by 3. Current level status: Ivysaur 35, Pidgeot 32, Rattata, 32, Miltank 25. 10 more Slave Points needed to level up." The voice echoed in Ash's mind.
This time, the Pokémon and flute didn't appear out of thin air. After the town mayor had waited for a while, he handed over the flute from his waist and the Cubone beside him to Ash. After Ash took them, the mayor wanted him to stay for a few days, but Ash politely declined. He didn't like this Lavender Town. Ash politely said a few more words and then found an excuse to leave Lavender Town. As he walked toward Celadon City, Ash looked up at the sky.
"Wait and see. Next time I encounter you, I'll definitely crush you," Ash swore.
Landing on a mountain peak, White activated her communication device and began contacting the Team Rocket Headquarters.
"White, how's it going?" A middle-aged man's voice came through the device.
"Boss Giovanni, I've gathered all the information on the melody that can calm Pokémon in Lavender Town. What's the next task?" White asked respectfully. Her tone toward Giovanni was no longer cold and indifferent but instead filled with respect.
"Good. Then come back first. Black has already gone to Celadon City to seize the perfume that can lower Pokémon's guard at the Celadon City Gym. It's been so long; I wonder if she succeeded." Giovanni's voice sounded again.
"Yes, Boss Giovanni," White replied respectfully, then shut off the communication device, waved to her two subordinates and activated the flying device. The three of them flew toward the base.
