Something pulled me closer, an arm slipping around my waist, drawing me into a familiar heat. The faint scar along my stomach tingling under his touch, but I stayed still, letting the weight of him anchor me. His body solid and unyielding against mine. I leaned back, curling into him without thinking, as if the world beyond us had ceased to exist.
His hands found mine, fingers lacing together, gripping tighter as if to hold me in place. His breath, ghosting over the hollow of my neck, each inhale sending shivers racing down my spine. I purposefully kept my eyes closed, savoring this comfort, not wanting to move, ever.
