Atlas walked over to the trunk of the car, in search of anything he could use as a bridge, to cross past the big hole.
"It's not safe here, bro. We're not armed. I really think we should leave before it gets dangerous." Theo, following after him, tried to reason with him.
"You don't understand that if anything happens to Aveline, I'm technically at fault. She was under my family's room. My roof. I just want to find her alive. If she wants to break the contract, then so be it. As long as I find her alive."
He continued to rummage through the trunk, growing frustrated by the second when he couldn't find anything useful.
"We can't find her by ourselves, when we don't even have any weapons. What if her captors are armed? What then? Do you understand we're in an isolated place with a shitty network? At—"
He slammed the trunk shut, and folded his hand into a tight fist immediately after.
