"Atlas," Aveline whispered.
Landon's head moved back abruptly. "Atlas? He isn't anywhere around," he said.
She knew he wasn't, but she felt his presence.
"I–" The car sound drifted into her ears, and she whipped her head behind. "Get up!" She said with urgency.
"What are you doing, Vee?"
"Just get up, okay?" She almost screamed.
Landon was confused, but he did as she said anyway, and rose to his feet.
"Move a few paces behind." She shooed him away with her hands.
He was still confused on what was happening, and why she wasn't even looking at him as she dished out these orders, but still complied with everything she said.
Aveline's heart drummed erratically in her ears, as Atlas' car she had spotted a couple of seconds ago, came to a stop.
It was at that same moment, Landon heard the car arrive.
He turned his head behind, and saw Atlas alight from the car.
