Atlas knew he had been caught staring. There was no point pretending he wasn't, so he just continued.
He didn't take his eyes off her nipples, until he had reached the point of unbearable torture that came from being able to see but not touch.
Then he cleared his throat, and lifted his gaze. "Hi," he said.
Whether his greetings were directed to her or her breasts, Aveline wasn't quite sure yet.
She didn't know what kind of posture to keep, or the expression that was supposed to be on her face.
This would be the first time she caught him directly staring at her with raw lust in his eyes.
As much as it scared her, a part of her was— excited?
"Hi," she replied, surprising herself at how stable her voice was.
"You're still up," he continued without any breaks, for fear he might just fall back into looking where he wasn't supposed to be looking.
"I am. Did you want something?"
