Freya Sinclair alighted from the car with her mother who had driven her to the Sinclair hangar.
"My sweet girl. You always make me so proud," Cara said, stroking her daughter's hair.
"Come on mum, stop being so emotional. It's unlike you. You'll make me cry."
Cara laughed. "I know, but I can't help it this time. You're doing something so good. Sacrificing your time, safety, and your money for a really good cause. I'm super proud of you, my love. I know wherever that fool of your father is, he regrets leaving you."
Freya sniffled. "Who cares about that man? You are and have always been enough for me. I dare say I wouldn't have turned out this way if he was around us growing up."
"That's right my love. Very right."
Freya went into her arms, and she hugged her dearly.
Although she had said she wasn't going to cry, she couldn't help but burst into tears as soon as she pulled out of her mothers warm, loving hug.
