Atlas dropped off Aveline at work the next day, but he didn't go straight to his office.
Instead, he drove to the park.
He found a perfect get in and out spot, and parked the car.
"You're doing the right thing, Atlas," he said to himself, before he alighted from the car.
The moment he touched the ground, and lifted his head, he caught a glimpse of the person he was meeting up with.
He took a deep breath, and walked towards the bench where they were seated.
"I didn't think you would come." He saw her protruding stomach before he heard her speak.
Atlas slipped into the space beside her. "I also didn't take you for someone who would want to carry a pregnancy to term, yet here we are."
She looked up, and turned towards him. "You look good, Atlas. Then again, you've always looked good. Explains why every girl wants a piece of you."
"Thanks Vanna. But I doubt my looks are why we're meeting up today."
He gave her a good look as he spoke. She has added a bit of weight.
