Aveline came out from the foundation at the close of work, and her phone beeped immediately.
She brought the screen to her face, to see a text from Nora.
Nora Lyon: Where is the avalanche?
She began to furiously type a response as she walked towards the parking lot to wait for Zack who was coming to pick her, when someone called her name.
From her phone, she looked up to see Harry standing with a man beside him.
She blinked, and on closer inspection, recognized the man.
"You're the cop from the other night," she said to him.
"And you're Mrs Aveline Sinclair?" Officer Ben said.
"Indeed–" she was nodding her head when her gaze shifted to Harry, and then back to Ben. "Why do you two look alike?"
"Maybe because he's my father," Harry said, rubbing the back of his neck shyly.
"Oh!" Her mouth hung open in shock.
"Yep, that's my son. I was driving by when I remembered he is working on a project here so I decided to stop and say hello to him."
