Internally, Aveline was in shambles. But in order to avoid questioning gazes, and glances from people, she tried to keep a straight face.
She walked out of the restaurant, and her fingers began to tremble.
A honk dragged her attention forward, and there she saw Zack.
Swiftly, she fought for her fingers to stop trembling, as she approached the car.
"Sorry for the delay ma'am!" Zack said, as she entered the car through the back door.
Aveline forced a smile.
Zack pulled up the tinted windows, and drove off.
"Atlas is expecting a child."
The thought punched her straight in the gut, and her stomach cramped heavily.
She held on to it discreetly, but the ache jumped to her chest.
Before she could clutch her chest, it jumped again to her head.
In swift motions, the ache interchanged, and soon, her breath began to come out short.
Still, she didn't want Zack to see her in that state. Completely shattered, broken, and in shambles.
