 HUSHED STEPS AT HARAMBEE HOUSE!

It is set to be a busy month, again! A few days ago, cabinet was sworn in. Also, the new parliament is scheduled to convene its first sitting in a few days. But the hustle at the new Prime Minister's office is yet to die down. The East African got wind of a flurry of activities going on mostly involving clandestine meetings with newly elected house representatives, party leaders and notable settler personalities.

There is an intense lobbying drive at the residence and the KANU Vice President, also the new Deputy Prime Minister Oginga Odinga is at the heart of these negotiations, his earlier stance against the new government's direction seemingly thrown out the window.

At a time when a wave of political uncertainty is sweeping new African republics, we can only speculate on the reason for such urgency…

Even though it has heavy (white settler) leanings, it is good that someone is listening! I only hope the colonial government is not bugging my office.
