Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11: Gloves Off

Min-Seo's bedroom smelled like sweat, sin, and something blooming that didn't belong in a flower shop. The window was cracked, city lights bleeding in as Min-Joon sat shirtless at the edge of her bed, silk sheets draped at his waist like a Roman god on coffee break. Her nails had left marks on his back. Her lipstick was smeared across his collarbone. She slept now — deep, twitching dreams of the man who'd touched her skin like a religion.

He stared out at the Seoul skyline, one hand on a half-finished glass of wine, the other scrolling his system screen.

No guilt.

No satisfaction.

Just momentum.

[NOTIFICATION: SOCIETY DUEL REQUEST RECEIVED]

Sender: RYU JI-HWAN (Rank 4, Hedonist Enforcer)

Stakes: Public Combat – 1 Harem Slot

Time: 2:00 AM

Location: Society Duel Floor – Level -3

Conditions: No Weapons. No Interference. No Mercy.

Min-Joon exhaled.

Smirked.

"System," he whispered. "Tell me who this punk is."

[RYU JI-HWAN – 26, Former Street Fighter, MMA Washout, Current Enforcer for the Society. Known for brutal style, 7-0 duel record. Harem: 3. Weakness: Overconfidence. No known losses.]

Min-Joon cracked his knuckles.

"No losses? Cute."

He stood.

Tugged on a black shirt, buttoned with deadly precision.

Kissed Min-Seo's forehead.

And left without making a sound.

The Society Duel Floor looked like an underground opera house mated with a fight club. Circular platform. Blood-stained mat. Champagne flutes. Silk-robed spectators. Girls in masks. Men with rings like crowns.

At the center stood Ryu Ji-Hwan — six-two, all biceps, tattoos curling around his neck like threats. His chest was bare. His nose crooked from fights. He grinned like a dog off-leash.

"You brought your pretty face to a real fight?" he barked.

Min-Joon entered the circle.

Rolled his neck.

"Just wanted to see how many brain cells you had left to knock loose."

Lady Mae appeared on the balcony above them.

"Combat begins on the third chime," she called. "Stakes are live. Winner claims loser's top-ranked girl."

A gasp rolled through the room.

Min-Joon didn't flinch.

Ji-Hwan laughed.

"Who's your top?"

Yuna stepped out from the shadows.

In a black dress.

Tears in her eyes.

She didn't speak.

She didn't need to.

Her face said it all.

Don't lose me.

Min-Joon turned his head slightly, just enough for her to see the grin she fell for.

Then faced Ji-Hwan.

Let his hands drop.

And whispered: "Come die."

The third chime hit.

And Ryu charged like a wild boar.

Min-Joon didn't move.

At the last second, he side-stepped with surgeon's grace, his left palm snapping up into Ji-Hwan's throat — not hard enough to kill.

Just enough to humiliate.

Ryu staggered.

Min-Joon stepped in.

Elbow to the jaw. Knee to the ribs. Sweep the leg.

The crowd gasped.

Ji-Hwan swung wild.

Min-Joon ducked.

Countered with a hook so fast it blurred.

Then he danced back, arms open, laughing.

"Is that it?" he mocked. "I've kissed girls that hit harder."

Ji-Hwan roared.

Charged again.

But rage doesn't beat rhythm.

And Min-Joon was rhythm.

He moved like poetry that had been banned for being too erotic.

He dodged the punch, stepped in, and launched a spinning back kick that cracked against Ji-Hwan's chest.

The bigger man flew backward.

Crushed a chair.

Didn't rise.

Silence.

Then cheers.

Mad, scandalous cheers.

Yuna ran to him.

Jumped into his arms.

"I thought—"

He kissed her before she could finish.

Deep.

Public.

Commanding.

"I. Don't. Lose," he growled.

The crowd howled.

Later that night, in the blacked-out VIP suite, Lady Mae poured him a glass of silver wine.

"You're chaos in a suit," she whispered.

"And you love it."

"I want to watch what you do next."

"You will," Min-Joon said.

Then leaned in, voice like velvet soaked in sin.

"I haven't even started yet."
