After playing for a while, Zoro was found sleeping off to one side, while Lynn and Luffy had cornered Usopp.
Lynn asked with genuine curiosity, "Luffy, look at Usopp's nose — it's so long! How did it grow like that? I wonder if Usopp's nostrils get blocked by boogers and he ends up suffocating..."
Usopp gasped, "Don't scare me like that! How can someone die from their own boogers?!"
Luffy scratched his head and stared at the ceiling, thinking hard. Then he turned around and asked, "Nami, do you think Usopp might...?"
Nami's patience snapped. Especially now—pirates were about to invade this village at dawn tomorrow, and these Kurowns were still messing around with nonsense? And the captain was asking questions like that, all calm and casual?
Nami couldn't take it anymore. She slapped all three of them hard.
Feeling that wasn't enough—and noticing Zoro was still sleeping—she also smacked Zoro!
Zoro woke up, dazed. "Huh? Did I miss dinner?"
Nami's eye twitched. "One by one, you're all hopeless…"
At that moment, Lynn stepped forward, grinning: "Nami, you've been so irritable lately... is it that time?"
"What time?"
Zoro, thinking Lynn meant the pirate invasion tomorrow, suddenly said, "What are you scared of? I'll kill as many pirates as come!"
Nami slapped her forehead in frustration and glared at Lynn. "Listen, the pirates are coming tomorrow! They're real pirates—people will die!"
Luffy placed his hands on his hips confidently. "What's there to be afraid of? We'll just beat them up."
Zoro: "Kill them."
Lynn: "Kill 'em."
Usopp, nervously laughing: "Ahaha, I don't mind! If you want, I'll just give it to them, no problem."
"Hey, hey," Nami said weakly, "Do any of you even know where these pirates are from? Shouldn't we prepare and make some kind of plan before the battle?"
Luffy stepped forward with a smile. "Nami, don't worry. If they dare come tomorrow, I'll beat them all myself."
Bam.
Nami snapped, "Really? I'm done with you guys."
Though she said that, deep down Nami couldn't just ignore the situation, and Lynn and the others quickly sobered up.
Soon, Usopp and a few others arrived at the coastal port.
"Everyone, let's wait here for the pirates. But I'm setting a trap first..." Usopp declared.
Lynn waved them off lazily. "I'm going to sleep for a bit. Wake me when it starts."
Without realizing it, Lynn fell asleep quickly, lulled by the sound of waves crashing.
When Lynn woke, the sky was bright and he felt disoriented.
Who am I? Where am I?
He shook his head to clear it. Where was everyone?
But faint shouts echoed nearby.
Lynn smacked his forehead. Usopp had picked the wrong coast—and no one had woken him!
Without hesitation, Lynn activated his power and teleported toward the noise.
The battle should be happening there—he hadn't even made a move yet!
The Port of the Pirate Invasion
The battle was still raging.
When Lynn arrived, he saw Luffy wounded, struggling as Kuro slashed at him with a lightning-fast knife.
Lynn couldn't help but feel speechless.
"Space field..." Lynn activated his ability, appearing instantly next to Kuro.
With one punch, he sent Kuro flying.
Boom!
The impact stunned the pirates out of their frenzy.
When the smoke cleared, Kuro lay motionless.
The pirates were shocked.
"Impossible! That kid just knocked Captain Kuro away with a single blow?"
"Was he lucky? How could anyone keep up with Kuro's speed, let alone hit him?"
"Who is he? So cool..."
Nami, secretly on the pirate ship, stared wide-eyed at Lynn. It was Kuro's deputy who was causing all the chaos—Kuro was the one getting beaten!
How was this possible? She rubbed her eyes, trying to confirm what she'd just seen.
After knocking Kuro away, Lynn turned to Luffy with a smug smile.
"Hey, Luffy. You've been training so long and you can't even keep up with him?"
Before Luffy could answer, Kuro slowly got up and sneered, "Who are you? I'm so fast I can't even control it. You were just lucky. Don't get too proud."
He slicked back his hair, clearly annoyed.
Lynn just stared, silently drawing his sword, Gao Feng, from his space pocket.
"Space field…"
"Iai: Cut the Cake!"
Clang!
The sword's clash echoed like lightning, and everyone saw a white flash above them.
Then, their jaws dropped—
The massive cliff beside them was sliced clean in half by Lynn's blade.
Kuro turned, dumbfounded. What was that flying mountain? Did a human really cut it?
After a long pause, the pirates snapped back, terrified.
"What just happened? That... was that the strike just now?"
"Hahaha... I must be dreaming. Can someone pinch me?"
"This is terrifying! Is that human power? Is he a man... or a ghost?"
Nami, hiding on the ship, nearly fainted. How could Lynn split a cliff that huge from so far away? What kind of monster was he?
So powerful... could he help defeat the Fishman Pirates' captain and save her hometown?
Hope flickered deep in Nami's heart as she watched Lynn.
Just then, Lynn fixed his gaze on Kuro.
"Captain Kuro, what did you just say?"
Kuro's eyes widened with horror, lost for words.
This was a crushing defeat.
