For the next forty five minutes, Tyler along with the rest of the Monaco team warmed up. The cheers they received from the fans made Tyler smile. He hadn't gotten to play in front of a crowd that huge before so receiving so much love at once from the fans was like a caveman discovering fire.
"Don't get too used to it". George said when he caught Tyler breaking into a smile for the umpteenth time. "Those fuckers can get really nasty when they decide they don't like you".
"They're going to love me, don't worry". Tyler smiled. He waved to them as he and George walked with the other Monaco players back into the locker room.
"How are you so sure about that?" George smiled.
"Because I'm going to play so fucking good". Tyler said, to which George chuckled.
"I like your confidence". George said, "but if you think these players are going to be like the pensioners that we played against with the reserves, then you're wrong. Stop underestimating them bro".
