Synopsis
Link, a senior at Lincoln High School with a fussy system to help become the best basketball player. Note: This is a translation from something I found on WTRlab and I just took out some of the chinese elements. There is no regular release schedule, I'm mainly doing this cause I'm bored and I wanna see how hard translating/editing is. There isn't much of a romantic plot (173 chapters) so far, but he will have a girlfriend. The pacing is ok, not one of those where he gets a peak Iverson template or something by the 10th or 20th chapter but he'll get there. It starts with a surprisingly good training arc especially from a chinese author. Though he starts out pretty average/weak, he improves quite fast as well. Anyways try it out and do with it what you will. BTW, there are some possible errors I might miss like "Zhao" which I changed to Link and some numbers being off because for some reason the ending 0 disappears from time to time. I'll try and fix these with some of the chinese prejudice but I'm not gonna get everything.

Before merging Green's player template, Link felt some resistance in his heart, but after merging, he found it quite pleasant.

The cap for high school players' abilities is "65"; the cap for NCAA players is "80"; and the theoretical cap for NBA players is only "100."

After merging with the 22-23 season Green, except for mid-range, the potential caps for all shooting categories increased by more than 5 points, and the potential for close-range shots even increased by 2 points.

Defense and playmaking are Green's bread and butter, which goes without saying. The potential cap for interior defense increased by 4 points, defensive rebound potential by 48 points, offensive rebound by 38 points, and passing vision by 30 points; even the seemingly average ball-handling and dribbling ability increased by 10 points in potential.

But thinking about it, it's normal. Before Durant joined the Warriors, Green had developed a bit of an on-ball offensive game. You have to realize that even a rough NBA player like Kendrick Perkins can dribble like Kyrie Irving in lower-level competitions.

The physical and athletic potential was also much better than Link imagined. Speed increased by 15 points in potential, while Explosive Acceleration and Stamina both increased by 13 points in potential, with Stamina directly increasing by 29 points in potential.

Over the past month, Link had roughly figured out the quirks of the system—well, the "Basketball Goat System."

There are no shortcuts to becoming the Goat!

Goat Value is similar to currency in online games; it can be used for gacha draws and to obtain new player templates.

Prizes include special training items, player animation packages (celebrations, ball handling, shooting forms, etc.), and even "Takeover Moments."

"Link... Link..."

While Link was marveling at the significant increase in his potential, Chris Bosh's voice rang in his ears, pulling his thoughts back to reality.

It turned out the flight attendant on the plane was asking him what drink he wanted.

She had asked three times, but Link hadn't responded yet.

"Sorry, I'll have an orange juice!" Link said with a smile, looking at the blonde-haired, blue-eyed flight attendant.

"Alright." The flight attendant smiled and poured Link a cup of orange juice.

"Link, I didn't expect you to be nervous too, hehe... You've been preoccupied the whole way."

"However, Coach Leonard Bishop has mentioned many times that the ABCD Training Camp is full of monsters. To be honest, I'm a bit nervous too." [Note: Leonard Bishop is the head coach of the Lincoln High School basketball team]

Currently a junior in high school, Chris Bosh not only had a shaved head but also a clean-shaven chin; he really did look like a "Dragon Egg."

"Chris, are you joking? The word 'nervous' doesn't exist in my dictionary," Link said with full confidence, giving Bosh a side-eye.

Both Link and Chris Bosh had received invitation letters to the "ABCD Training Camp."

As the "Twin Cores" of Lincoln High School, having just led their team to the Texas championship, they naturally had the qualifications and didn't need to sign up themselves like Tracy McGrady did back then.

Even if Link hadn't obtained the [Basketball Goat System] a month ago, he wouldn't have been afraid of participating in the ABCD Training Camp at all; now, he felt more excitement and anticipation.

Although Link was a four-star high school recruit in the nation and had received invitations from three or four NCAA universities, it was far from enough for someone like him who wanted to play in the professional leagues. The ABCD Training Camp was undoubtedly a platform to make a name for himself.

Kobe and McGrady both came through this way back in the day.

"I just saw a report in SLAM; so many monsters are coming to the ABCD Training Camp this year, more than in previous years. Even Lamine Kook, the number one high schooler in the nation, has signed up again, and New Jersey's mr. 100—Wagner..."

Bosh listed one name after another with a serious expression.

But just as he stopped, a young voice rang out from the row behind Link and Bosh.

"The people coming to the ABCD Training Camp this year are far more than just those. There's the talented scorer from Oak Hill Academy—Carmelo Anthony, Florida's number one high schooler—Amare Stoudemire, and LeBron James from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School..."

Bosh looked back and saw a white boy about the same age as them. From his appearance, it seemed he also played basketball.

"Hello, let me introduce myself. My name is Matt Babcock, and like you, I've been invited to the ABCD Training Camp this year," the white boy, Matt Babcock, said with a smile as he noticed Bosh's surprised gaze.

Link and Bosh also responded politely.

Upon hearing their names and that they were from Lincoln High School, Matt Babcock couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, you guys are Texas' Roaring Twin Towers!"

The Roaring Twin Towers!

This was the duo name given to Link and Chris Bosh by the Texas Sports Media. The reason was simple: both of them loved to roar during games.

To be called "Twin Towers," it's usually an interior duo. The 198cm Link was a legitimate big man in the High School League, reaching the average level of a Power Forward; as for Chris Bosh, who was currently 204cm tall, it went without saying.

Seeing himself being recognized, Bosh, as a high schooler, was naturally delighted.

For Link, who had lived two lives, to be honest, it was the same. But the difference was that Link quickly corrected him: "Although our duo name is the Roaring Twin Towers... I play Point Guard, not the interior."

The three young men, all around 17 years old, quickly became acquainted. Although Matt Babcock was also a starter for a certain high school basketball team, a big reason he could come to the ABCD Training Camp was his "connections"; his uncle was in the management of the Atlanta Hawks.

Unlike Bosh and Link, Matt Babcock, who knew his basketball talent well, didn't want to become a professional player in the future but hoped to be a journalist.

...

...

After getting off the plane and arriving at the ABCD Training Camp.

The first thing was to register their identities, distribute jerseys, and assign dormitories.

Over the next week, 258 students would be staying in the training camp.

"Link, No. 143!" A staff member took out a jersey and a stick-on number plate and gave them to Link.

"Chris Bosh, No. 39!"

"Matt Babcock, No. 255!"

"Oh no, my jersey number is so high. Is this really ranked according to the players' strength?" Matt Babcock said helplessly after receiving his jersey number.

"Yes," the training camp staff member distributing the items gave a definitive answer.

No. 143?

Looking at the jersey number plate in his hand, Link's face was full of displeasure.

Even though Kobe wore No. 143 when he participated in the ABCD Training Camp in '95, you guys are seriously underestimating me!!!

Are there really 142 people ahead of me who are stronger?

Thinking of this, Link gritted his teeth, feeling more and more expectant about facing off against these geniuses!!!
