Chapter 39 - Chapter 36

Stacy's POV

Despite walking away from there, I was curious about whatever I had noticed in the room. The way he talked, the way he handled all the situations, I was beyond scared.

There was definitely something about him that was different. I didn't know how else to work on it. I was tired and stressed, and needed a way to rest, but since he was already in the room, I decided to settle for a while. 

"And what are you trying to do?" his voice came when I was trying to settle down. 

"A lot of things. But at first, I'm trying to rest." I paused, then stared at him with a deadly gaze. 

"You know I need rest, right?" I asked with raised brows, and there was a lot on his mind. He, however, twisted his lips. 

"Alright then." 

For the first time since we got here, we didn't argue about anything, which caused me to smile. 

"You're smiling again. I thought you hated him, so what's the matter?" My mind raced with a lot of things. I was trying my best to make sense of the whole thing.
