Chapter 13 - New Life DxD- Chapter 12

Two Years Later

Kuoh, Japan.

In a large mansion in the Japanese city of Kuoh, it was possible to see someone waking up in a room.

A light streamed through the window, illuminating the young man's body.

He appeared to be between sixteen and seventeen to eighteen years old, standing at one meter and eighty-two centimeters tall. He was a dignified man with golden hair, rising like a blazing flame. His face was incredibly handsome, and his eyes, red as blood, like two precious rubies, were visibly not those of a human and emitted a mysterious glow that made people wilt. He had a "perfect body, proportionate to gold," with an emanating majesty that made the flames surrounding him afraid to approach, and his own soul shone golden.

He could only be described as a beautiful man; his supernatural beauty would be capable of impressing any being, even the Goddesses of Beauty would be shocked by his appearance, and seeing him would make any woman, whether human or supernatural, drown in lust.

"Another day," said the man with his beautiful voice.

Only his voice would be capable of captivating even the most insensitive heart; just hearing his voice would make any woman, even the Goddesses, fall in love.

When he opened his eyes, revealing his two precious rubies to the world, just looking into his eyes would make any woman drown in lust.

But if one looked closely into his eyes, they would see an immense crushing power, like an endless abyss that devours anything in its path, and this power seemed dormant, just waiting for its master to summon it.

But one thing everyone would agree on was that this man was not someone ordinary but someone who could be the greatest King in the World.

This man was Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes.

It had been two years since the encounter with Sairaorg and the Longinus [Regulus Nemea], as well as the rescue of Valerie and the unexpected meeting with Gabriel.

After that encounter with Gabriel, Gilgamesh found himself.

Mainly because the Angels were very curious about someone who was able to recreate the Evil Pieces but with the ability to reincarnate people as Angels.

It goes without saying that the demons were not at all happy about this but could do nothing.

Gilgamesh also joined and worked for a time for the Church and the Angels.

Initially, Gilgamesh was reluctant because he did not want to get involved with any Faction, but after a request from Gabriel and her brother Michael, he accepted.

It goes without saying that the Church was very surprised by the fact that they had placed at his side a descendant of the greatest hero who still possessed a Longinus-class Sacred Gear.

In fact, the Church was divided about his entry.

Half of it was happy to have someone so strong on their side, while the other half did not like Gilgamesh much because he was a Demigod, and they did not consider any other God besides their own.

During this time in the Church, Gilgamesh formed a great friendship with Gabriel, who was always with him. During these years, Gilgamesh did his best to teach the woman the customs of the land, such as culture, travel, and everything about the world, but it always seemed to go in one ear and out the other; perhaps some things should remain as they are.

Gilgamesh wondered what God was thinking when he created an angel like her: a killer face, a killer body, and killer charm. However, her personality was pure, clueless, and she was a bit annoyed most of the time. For him and every man, that was the worst combination.

Gabriel also constantly insisted on trying to reincarnate Gilgamesh as one of the Angels so he could stay in Heaven with her, but Gilgamesh refused; he was born human and would die as one. They all understood what Gilgamesh meant, though that did not stop Gabriel from continuing to try.

Gilgamesh also met and had a good relationship with Xenovia and Irina, who were trained by Griselda Quarta, one of the strongest female exorcists. Gilgamesh also received training from her for a time and helped Xenovia improve her mastery of Durandal and Irina with her Excalibur.

Gilgamesh also had a team he led during his time in the Church, and the members were surprisingly Siegfried and Jeanne.

Gilgamesh had a rivalry with the heir of the man who killed Fafnir because he did not follow his orders, but nothing that a few beatings couldn't resolve.

With Jeanne, he had no problems because the girl always followed his orders and followed him wherever he went.

Overall, they had a good relationship, similar to a family.

However, they betrayed the Church shortly after Gilgamesh left.

Gilgamesh also earned several titles while he was there.

Some of them were, for example, "Paladin" or "Holy Knight." Gilgamesh earned this title because most of the time he wore armor and a holy sword.

The holy sword Excalibur.

Gilgamesh loved their faces when he revealed which sword it was. It goes without saying that the Church wanted Gilgamesh to give them the sword, but they couldn't because he was under Gabriel's protection and, consequently, Michael's.

Another title he earned was "The Golden Beast of Destruction." Gilgamesh earned this title when he massacred an army of beings from the Old Satan Faction, which, despite losing most of its members, continued with its plan.

That day, a large army of demons ranging from High-Class to Satan, along with some Fallen Angels and rogue Youkais, had gathered and planned to attack the Church's headquarters.

It was a gigantic army; even the Seraphim would have difficulty dealing with them, and since they couldn't leave Heaven due to enemy magic, the Church was at their mercy.

But Gilgamesh appeared alone on the battlefield and annihilated them all. In that battle, he used his Balance Breaker with the Longinus [Regulus Nemea] for the first time, where he simply crushed anything that tried to pass him.

Another title that stood out was "The Golden Mage." This title came from the fact that Gilgamesh created and invented various magics that were widely applauded by the world, even earning him a fan club.

But by far his greatest title was "The Strongest Exorcist," which he earned by fighting and defeating Vasco Strada.

From Gilgamesh's first encounter with Vasco Strada, the King of Heroes greatly respected the man.

He was just a human who had no Sacred Gear, yet he was someone even the members of the Top 10 feared and respected.

Gilgamesh trained for a time under Vasco Strada's guidance during this period.

Until the day he challenged him, it was a surprise to everyone, especially because Vasco accepted the challenge.

So the battle began, but Gilgamesh did not use any of his Longinus. Vasco questioned if he was underestimating him.

Gilgamesh only replied that he wanted to be the strongest, and if he used the Longinus, he wouldn't be using his own power, so he would defeat Vasco without using the Sacred Gears.

That day, Vasco Strada's respect for Gilgamesh increased even more.

And so the battle took place, lasting an entire day until one of them fell.

Vasco's blows with Durandal were capable of destroying buildings just with the pressure of the strike. If it weren't for Gilgamesh's intense training, he would have lost that day.

And after the end of that battle, Gilgamesh emerged victorious.

Since that day, Gilgamesh had been recognized as "The Strongest Exorcist."

But after some time in the Church, Gilgamesh left because he had things to do in the city of Kuoh.

The Church and its members were not happy that their strongest member was leaving; even Gabriel tried to convince him to stay.

But after some conversation and with Michael's help, Gilgamesh left, but of course, he told them that if they ever needed him, he would come to help no matter where he was.

Gilgamesh also had a strange encounter with Nyx, the Greek Primordial Goddess of the Night. Although she was a Primordial Goddess, she wasn't that strong. The battle ended with Gilgamesh trapping her with [Enkidu: Chains of Heaven]. It seemed Nyx was interested in the Longinus and their users, and Gilgamesh having two attracted her attention. Since then, she appeared to visit him from time to time.

And of course, these years were not only for Gilgamesh's training but also for Valerie's.

It took some time for the girl to get used to them, but in no time, they became close.

Gilgamesh and Enkidu taught Valerie various different forms of combat, and Sebas took it upon himself to teach Valerie several different forms of magic, for which the Dhampir had an extreme talent.

Although they didn't train her Longinus, after all, the [Sephiroth Graal] is capable of causing harm to the user's own soul.

Gilgamesh had also greatly evolved his level in these two years.

Gilgamesh had greatly raised his level over the years to the point of being considered one of the 10 Strongest Existences, not only because of his level but also because of his skills and technique.

Gilgamesh also trained extensively with his Sacred Gears. With [Zenith Tempest], he managed to increase his mastery and finally achieve his subspecies Balance Breaker. The problem was that his Balance Breaker was so powerful that it could cause natural disasters unconsciously, to the point that Gilgamesh could only use it if he truly needed to.

With the Longinus [Regulus Nemea], Gilgamesh had already achieved the Balance Breaker but still continued training and mastering it. The same happened with the Breakdown the Beast form, where Gilgamesh managed to master it to the point of being able to use it without losing his mind. Gilgamesh also acquired new abilities for Regulus.
