I arrived at the mall and began searching for Aunt Sarah. 

I spotted her and ran to her. "Where are the kids?" I asked, my heart pounding. 

"I don't know, Laura. I asked the receptionist to look after them, because I had to go upstairs to return something. I came back and they were nowhere to be found."

"They are only five years old. How could you leave them alone?" I queried, anger surging through me. 

"I'm sorry. I didn't know this was going to happen," Auntie Sarah cried out. 

Tears began rolling down my eyes. I told myself not to panic. But how could I not panic? These kids were my life. The reason I didn't give up. 

"Hello, ma'am," a voice interrupted from behind us. 

We both turned immediately, and saw the receptionist with my kids.

"Lena! Luke!" I exclaimed, kneeling down and hugging them tightly. "Are you alright?" 

"We are fine, mom," Luke said.

"Haven't I warned you never to roam around in a mall?" I questioned.
