Chapter 189 - 189: Battlefield

When the darkness cleared, we were standing in what looked like a war zone.

The beautiful grounds of Moonveil Academy were torn apart, scorched earth and destroyed buildings stretching as far as I could see. The air was thick with smoke and the metallic scent of blood, and in the distance, I could hear screaming.

"Welcome back to Moonveil," Elias said grimly.

Students were running everywhere, some human, others shifted into their lycan shapes. I watched in horror as a group of vampires chased down a cluster of younger students, their inhuman speed making the hunt look effortless.

"Damn it," I breathed, watching as more lycans emerged from the burning buildings. "The humans are going to know about our existence now. There's no way to contain this."
