Lucian's POV
"Dream walker? Are you messing with me right now? Cut the crap," I snarled, my hand tightening around her throat. "Tell me what you want or I'll show you—"
Before I could finish the threat, she raised her hand and pressed it against my forehead.
The world went white.
Suddenly I wasn't in my hotel bathroom anymore. I was standing in snow, freezing winter air biting at my skin. My breath came out in visible puffs, and I could hear someone crying.
Crying? Who could that be?
I turned and saw him. A younger version of myself, maybe twelve years old, small and skinny and shivering in the cold. He was trying to shift into his lycan, his body contorting awkwardly as fur sprouted in patches across his skin.
"Pathetic! You are so pathetic!" Alpha Malachi's voice cut through the winter air like a whip, sending shivers down my spine. "You call yourself my son?"
