On the deck of the Catastrophe, Andy was watching the ocean, grumbling about what had just transpired.
"Honestly, that bastard. Treating me like a disappointment," he muttered, resting his head on his arms.
Just thinking about it made him grit his teeth in frustration.
"It's not like I want to be born with this ability..."
"Why are you looking so down, newcomer?"
Andy suddenly snapped his eyes open and raised his head, looking around. He didn't even hear it; it was more like he felt the sentence in his mind.
"What?"
Then he saw Yo standing on the other side of the deck gesturing for him to come closer.
Carefully Andy approached him, unsure what he wanted to do. But the moment he got close, he suddenly got a bad feeling about it.
"Here you go!" Yo declared pushing a mop and bucket into Andy's hands.
"Huh? What's this for?" Andy replied, a blank stare on his face.
"For what do you think it is? To clean, of course. Now scrub it until it shines, newcomer."
"Oh, and once you're done, go get me a popsicle." Yo added, leisurely sitting on the railing, his head leaning on his right hand.
He had a bored expression on his face as he watched Andy clean.
"What?!"
Andy exclaimed, glaring at Yo.
"Well, you're an esper, are you not? Just figure something out. Oh, but I guess you don't have much power, do you?"
"Tch. Where the hell do they even sell popsicles?"
Without missing a beat Yo pointed at a city barely visible across the ocean. "There's probably a store in that city."
"Are you serious? That's way too far away!" Andy remarked, his patience running thinner with every passing moment.
He was getting mocked by basically everyone here; Hyoubu treated him like some exotic animal, and now this guy started treating him like a damn slave!
Yo suddenly jumped off the railing and walked toward Andy.
"Fine then. I'll help you."
Then he took a deep breath in, and a moment later Andy felt his whole body fly away because of the massive sound wave Yo had just sent out.
Then he saw the guardrail in front of him, and he was speechless.
"I got launched off the boat, didn't I?" he said, as panic started to kick in.
"Oh. He really flew." Yo, he said, as he lost interest and quietly left.

A while later the soaking wet Andy stood back on top of the deck, looking around, wondering where he could get some new clothes.
"Wear this until those dry." Magi suddenly said, handing him a clean black suit.
After that he didn't linger and just left Andy to his own devices, but he quickly changed his clothes and followed Magi inside.
"What do you want?" Magi asked.
"U-um. Thanks." Andy said, scratching his cheek. While holding the bag that contained his wet clothes.
"Stay away; I feel sick."
"Haha... Ah, isn't there some kind of lecture on the organization? I haven't had much of anything explained to me, you know." Andy said, trying to change the subject.
"That is just the kind of person Major is." Magi casually replied, with a shrug.
When Andy heard that name, the look in his eyes changed; he now had a serious look in his eyes.
Then they heard multiple children running around.
"Yay! Come and get me." The little boy running in front screamed, flailing his arms wildly through the air as a little girl chased after him.
When Magi saw the two children, a small smile appeared on his face.
"Cmon. C'mon, the area ahead has a high security level. You mustn't go past there," he softly said, patting the little boy's head.
"Okay!" The two children shouted in unison and took off running back the way they came.
"There are a lot of kids on this ship, huh." Andy remarked.
Then the earlier friendly atmosphere Magi had vanished, and with a sigh he explained why.
"Those two were both abandoned by their parents just for being espers. Pandra has taken in quite a few similar cases over the years."
"Oh..."
"If we need you, we will give you instructions; until then, do as you wish." With that, Magi entered the high-security area, leaving Andy to his own devices.
"So the area up ahead is off limits for me."
"Of course, newcomer."
Suddenly echoed through Andy's mind.
Then the bad memories from the afternoon flooded in once again. "You! How dare you do that before!"
Then Yo snatched the sack Andy was carrying and looked inside.
"You know this isn't the right kind of popsicle, right? Go get me another one," he ordered with a smirk.
"What?!" But before Andy could retort, Yo turned around and ran away.
"..."
"I'll get him back for that someday." Andy vowed to himself, and after that he quickly left the hallway as well. Returning to the desolate spot he had found to contact his superior.
His eye glowed once more as the hologram of his commander appeared before him.
"So, did you find anything yet?"
"Special agent Hinomiya reporting. And no, I was just made to work all day. Cleaning the deck and doing all kinds of miscellaneous tasks."
Andy explained with a sigh.
"Oh yeah, and all that without any explanation..."
Silence followed; his commander looked at him with a frown, and Andy felt too ashamed to say anything more.
"Are these people really Pandra? They have no sense of tension," he muttered.
"Ahem, I think you are the one that needs more tension. Special Officer Hinomiya, it doesn't matter whatever you think about the people on that ship. They are without a doubt the most feared criminal esper organization in the world. Working in the shadows of society."
"Their actions reach many different illegal fields. Do you understand?"
Andy stared straight at his commander and, with a military salute, replied. "I know that. I read all the files on them again and again beforehand."
"Good. Contact me immediately once you locate the target." The commander sternly ordered.
"Understood. And Commander, did you find anything about Senzo Kazuko? I hate to inform you, but I haven't been able to interact with him much to get to know him." Andy said, scratching his hair.
"View him with the same threat level as Hyoubu Kyousuke." The commander said with a solemn look.
"He is extremely dangerous and should have been dead according to Babel, but it seems his powers are more powerful than expected, and he did something to escape being executed."
Andy's eyes widened; he had seen firsthand just how powerful Hyoubu was, and Senzo is just as powerful? What the hell is he supposed to do with that?
"Understood, I will keep it in mind!" He said, and with that, the hologram disappeared.
He sat down with a sigh, staring at the roof.
"They really don't look like that kind of person."
