Landon's POV
"Fenris," my voice called ever so lightly to the man in the bed with me, holding me so tight with such an intensity I knew my plans to sneak out and leave were going to be an almost impossible mission, if not completely hopeless.
I had asked him for water before he slept off. Water I had wanted to drink, but when I noticed how his gaze flickered and darted from mine to his glass, I had known something was off.
Fenris doesn't tell lies. And his eyes always betrays him whenever he has something he's hiding. I've noticed that about him. They would flicker and wander as he tried to ignore the gaze of his would be victim.
Good thing I had switched the glasses and made him drink the one he offered me instead. Yet, even in his deep slumber, he was holding me down so tightly I knew trying to break free would be useless.
"Fenris…" I called again, testing to make sure he was really asleep the way I needed him to be.
