Chapter 89 - 89: Misfits of mistrust

Landon's POV

"Damn me." I muttered under my breath as I saw him approaching, a cup in one hand and a bandage in the other. Damn me.

I just couldn't get it. Why was he always following me, always on my tail? Had he no other things to do? He'd been deep in his slumber when I left from sleeping pills, the ones he took in my stead because I'd switched the water he'd meant to offer me. So why was he still....

"Here. You need to drink this," Fenris said, handing me the coffee he'd just bought from the shop he was coming out of. I was seated at the bus stop, I didn't even know how he had brought me here. I'd just opened my eyes to find myself transformed back to my human form, sleeping by the bus stop and on his lap. Of course I had whipped myself up immediately without thinking.

I hesitated, staring at the coffee, unsure whether I should drink even though I really wanted to.
