Chapter 92 - 92: Decision to leave

Adrian's POV

"Live for your child, Adrian," she whispered, her voice trembling amidst the struggle to breathe as she lay on the floor, blood pooling around her fragile body. I refused to believe this was happening. I couldn't force myself to face reality, not yet. I've never thought of this moment in all the twenty one years of my life.

All I've ever wanted to do was to become the alpha for her. Like she wanted me to. Like she had told me my mother wanted me to. Not holding her in my arms like this.

Her lips moved again, struggling to form words. Desperate, I pressed my fingers against them, begging her not to waste the little strength she had left. But even then, she fought, forcing the air from her lungs to voice what her soul needed me to hear.
