Chapter 98 - 98: Damning Headiness

Landon's POV

"We need to leave, Landon. It's not safe here anymore," Fenris urged again, his tone heavy with frustration. I'd lost count of how many times he'd repeated those same words in the last few days after dragging me away from Adrian's presence at the funeral home straight into this hotel room he insisted was safer then.

Adrian still hadn't seen me. I'd tried going home, but I couldn't. I still didn't understand why my father's warriors had been among those who attacked the Crimson Moon pack. Nothing made sense.

When I gave him no response, Fenris pushed to his feet. He stopped at the door, his hand resting on the knob before he turned back toward me.

"It's been days, Landon. Adrian doesn't want you. He's made that clear. He's mourning and he won't come to meet you no matter how many times you ask. He hasn't answered your calls either. Isn't that enough reason to move on?" he demanded.
