Chapter 97 - 97: An uproar

Adrian's POV

Father had gone to the Alpha's council meeting today after being summoned. There was nothing rare about council meetings except that they were only called when there were problems between packs that needed resolving, or when a looming threat required all packs to unite under the guidance of the surviving former Alphas.

My grandfather had once been part of the council before his death and I was certain that if I were to take over from my father as Alpha, he would no doubt push for his own seat as well. And despite his tyranny, his Alpha friends would still vote him in. Little wonder why most of the council's rulings were never upright.

The sound of revving engines and the sharp stench of hot gasoline filled my nostrils as Father's car pulled through the pack gates, his entourage of soldiers following in their black cars. Each vehicle peeled away in turn, driving into the garage to be parked.
