Chapter 84 Writer's POV
Amanda, still holding Onyi in her arms and watching her sister Aurora in chains and in so much pain, tells Onyi, "Reject Aurora. Tell her you don't want her as a mate. She's hurting too much because of me, and maybe this will help her see."
Onyi looks at Amanda, then at Aurora sobbing on the floor. He hesitates for a moment, sensing the weight of the situation. "Amanda, I... I'm mated to you," Onyi says softly, his voice filled with care for both Amanda and the distressed Aurora.
Amanda's eyes are pleading. "Just do it, Onyi. Maybe it'll help Aurora understand. Tell her you choose me."
Onyi's expression is conflicted. "Amanda, rejecting someone like that, especially when they're in pain... I'm not sure it's the right thing to do."
But Amanda insists. "Do it for me, Onyi. Do it for us."
Onyi looks down at Aurora, who's still sobbing, her emotions raw. He takes a deep breath and says to Aurora, " I Onyi rejects you Aurora as my mate ."
Aurora's sobs seem to pause for a moment as she looks up at Onyi and Amanda. Her face is twisted in pain and a sense of final rejection. Then she turns away, her body shaking again with sobs.
The queen and king watch the scene unfold, their faces filled with sorrow for their daughters' pain. Amanda looks on, tears still in her eyes, as Onyi has rejected Aurora as a potential mate in front of everyone.
Then Aurora just disappears leaving everyone shocked. One moment she's writhing in pain on the floor, screaming after Onyi's rejection, and the next she's gone. Vanished without a trace, leaving the queen, king, Amanda, Onyi, and everyone in the palace in stunned silence.
The queen rushes forward, calling out, "Aurora! Where's Aurora?" but there's no answer. The guards look around frantically, checking the area, but there's no sign of Aurora. The chains that bound her lie empty on the floor.
Amanda's eyes are wide with shock. "How did she...?" she starts to say but trails off. Onyi looks equally stunned, still in Amanda's arms.
The king's face is stern with concern. "Find her. Now. We need to know what happened to Aurora." Guards rush out to search the palace and its grounds for any sign of the missing princess.
The palace erupts into chaos as everyone scrambles to find Aurora. The queen looks frantically around, worry etched on her face. "What if she's gone because of what we did?" she says to the king.
Amanda's tears have stopped, replaced by a look of worry and guilt. "Do you think it's because of Onyi's rejection?" she asks softly.
Onyi's expression is somber. "I don't know. I didn't mean for her to... disappear like this."
