Chapter 83 - Distress

Chapter 83 Writer's POV

The queen tries to approach Aurora, who is chained and in pain on the palace floor. The queen's voice is filled with sorrow and a mother's regret as she reaches out to her daughter. "Aurora, my child, I'm so sorry for what you've been through. We didn't mean for things to go this way."

But Aurora refuses to listen, her emotions boiling over in anger and pain. "You abandoned me for those witches to take me away, Mother," Aurora says through tears streaming down her face. "You and your husband who supported the witches taking me away. I pleaded but you didn't look at me."

Aurora's words cut deep, and the queen's eyes fill with tears as she looks at her daughter in chains. "Aurora, no... we didn't abandon you. We did what we thought was best for the kingdom."

Aurora's face twists in pain and accusation. "Look at my face, Father," she says, her voice breaking. "You never liked me because of my face. You always saw me as different, as a problem because of how I looked. I knew it. I felt it every day."

The king looks on, his expression unreadable but with a hint of sadness in his eyes. The queen steps closer, trying to reach out to Aurora. "Aurora, that's not true. We love you as our daughter."

But Aurora turns away, her body shaking with sobs as she lies chained on the floor. "No... you didn't love me enough. Not like you loved Amanda," Aurora says in a broken whisper. The scene is heart-wrenching, with Aurora in pain and chains, accusing her parents of abandonment and rejection due to her appearance.

Amanda looks on, tears streaming down her face as she watches her twin sister in such distress. Onyi, still in Amanda's arms, looks on with concern and sadness.

Aurora sobs uncontrollably, her body shaking with grief as she lies chained on the palace floor. In the midst of her tears and pain, she says in a broken whisper, "All I wanted was a mate... but Amanda took that from me. She takes everything from me."

Amanda's face contorts in distress hearing her sister's words. "Aurora, no... that's not true," Amanda says, tears streaming down her face. "Onyi and I... we didn't mean to hurt you."

But Aurora's pain and anger are palpable. "You always get what you want, Amanda. You get the love, you get the attention... and now you have our mate. Everything's always about you." Aurora's words are laced with bitterness and sorrow.

The queen steps forward again, trying to intervene. "Aurora, stop. You're hurting yourself with these words."

The king's expression remains serious, watching the exchange between his daughters. Onyi looks uncomfortable in Amanda's arms, sensing the deep pain and conflict between the twins.

Amanda's tears fall harder as she watches Aurora in chains, in so much pain. "Aurora... I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you," Amanda says softly.

Aurora doesn't respond, continuing to sob, her emotions raw and exposed. The scene is heart-wrenching, highlighting the deep rift and pain between the twin sisters due to feelings of rivalry and loss.
