Gu Yue and Na'er, with their shimmering silver dragon wings spread wide, glided gracefully through the wind as they leaped down from the mountain ridge. Meanwhile, Bai Xu descended rapidly, standing atop a golden sword.

"Those dragon wings of yours seem pretty impressive. Why haven't you shown them before?" Bai Xu asked curiously, eyeing Gu Yue's wings as if tempted to touch them.

"Your gaze tells me you're coveting them," Gu Yue retorted, rolling her eyes before speeding up.

Within moments, the three of them landed at the bottom of the valley.

Gu Yue and Na'er's eyes were filled with sorrow, their emotions visibly turbulent. Bai Xu remained silent, following quietly behind them as they passed one enormous dragon skeleton after another.

Only by entering the depths of the valley could one truly grasp the sheer magnitude of the devastation. Rows upon rows of massive dragon bones stretched endlessly—some dozens of meters tall, others towering hundreds of meters high. Each skeleton emitted faint but discernible waves of energy.

Gu Yue could effortlessly connect with these energies, gently touching the remains of her kin. But Bai Xu was not so fortunate; the moment he approached, the bones reacted aggressively, forcing him to keep his distance and observe from afar.

The deeper they ventured into the valley, the larger the skeletons became. Mountains of dragon bones loomed ominously, a chilling testament to the brutality of the ancient war.

Gu Yue ran her fingers along the bones, her eyes glistening with unshed tears as she fought to contain her emotions. Na'er, too, was overwhelmed with guilt—she had done nothing for the dragon race thus far.

Why? Why has fate been so unjust to our kind?

Why did the Divine Realm reject us, forcing us to rise in rebellion?

The fall of the dragon race was born of the heavens' jealousy. It was those humans—those despicable humans!

Bai Xu suddenly heard whispers in his mind, as if the valley's sorrow and resentment had taken physical form, attempting to sway his thoughts. He watched Gu Yue's figure, hesitating to speak. This was a choice she had to make for herself.

Step by step, the silver-clad figure's aura of grief intensified. A shimmering silver halo enveloped her, and wherever she passed, the oppressive energy emanating from the bones seemed to ease slightly.

Yet Bai Xu's frown deepened. The dragons' hatred was overwhelming—even their lingering presence repelled humans.

Noticing Bai Xu's discomfort, Na'er approached and took his right hand, transferring a trace of her silver dragon energy to him. "Stay close to Gu Yue," she murmured.

The trio soon arrived before an enormous dragon skeleton, standing over a thousand meters tall. Unlike the others, its bones were a deep brown, exuding an unparalleled sense of weight. The gravity in its vicinity was noticeably stronger, pressing down heavily on the earth.

It had no wing bones, its body thick and robust, its limbs like colossal pillars holding up the sky.

"Mountain Dragon King," Gu Yue whispered softly, offering no further explanation.

As they circled around the Mountain Dragon King's remains, the call in Gu Yue's spirit led them to a cliff. Behind the skeleton, the ground abruptly collapsed, revealing a massive pit over ten thousand meters in diameter and a thousand meters deep.

Above the abyss swirled a mist of multicolored light, ethereal and dreamlike.

Bai Xu followed Gu Yue and Na'er as they leaped into the chasm, passing through the radiant mist. At last, they beheld their destination—a colossal seven-colored dragon soul.

This dragon soul was twice the size of the Mountain Dragon King, its entire form shimmering with nine-colored radiance. Even its scales were irregularly shaped, each one distinct yet harmoniously arranged like an intricate mosaic of gemstones.

It held its head high with pride, its overwhelming pressure demanding submission.

But Bai Xu refused to yield. His organs glowed with internal energy, his divine sense flickering between his brows as he stood firm, unshaken.

Gu Yue and Na'er paid no heed to this silent confrontation. They stepped forward, their auras growing stronger with each stride toward the Dragon God's soul.

Seven elemental forces—water, fire, wind, earth, light, darkness, and space—swirled around Gu Yue, coalescing into miniature dragons that coiled around her, their roars echoing through the valley. Her black eyes transformed into vertical purple pupils, silver scales shimmering across her skin as her wings unfurled. She turned to face Bai Xu.

Na'er, too, seemed to regain her former majesty, the lofty Dragon Spear Goddess reborn. The Silver Dragon Spear materialized in her grasp, her body adorned with scales as she stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Gu Yue.

United, their backs to the Dragon God's soul, they faced Bai Xu.

In unison, they declared:

"Bai Xu, you've repeatedly claimed that the truth of the ancient war differs from what we know. Now, before the Dragon God's soul, we, the Silver Dragon Kings, demand answers! Look around you! Do you not see the devastation wrought by the Divine Realm? The great war left our kin slaughtered, their remains buried here. Is this not the truth? Heaven was unjust. The Divine Realm rejected us. These are undeniable facts."

"So tell us—what is this 'truth' you speak of?"

Bai Xu chuckled softly. "The more confident you are now, the harder you'll fall when the truth is revealed."

His tone was laced with undisguised mockery.

"Unjust heavens? A rejecting Divine Realm? Don't make me laugh. The dragon race's downfall wasn't caused by others—it was your own Dragon God!"

!!!

The two women froze, fury flashing in their eyes. "Lies!" they spat.

Yet neither attacked. They waited, demanding an explanation.

"Everyone speaks of the Divine Realm War, but do you even know why it happened? Di Tian!" Bai Xu barked. "Tell them what you witnessed!"

Di Tian dared not hesitate. "On the day the Divine Dragon Realm ascended to become a Divine Star, we saw the Asura God split the Dragon God in two—creating Her Majesty and the Golden Dragon King."

Bai Xu scoffed. "Fool. Someone of your rank wasn't even permitted to attend the Divine Star Ceremony. How could you know the truth? Ascending to a Divine Star is a dimensional evolution. Whether ascending from a lower plane or a higher one, it requires an immense amount of energy. At such levels, this act defies the laws of the universe itself. Success means independence from cosmic constraints. Failure… well, the consequences are obvious. The Dragon God failed. He ignored the warnings of his Dragon Kings, stubbornly pursuing the Divine Star. But when the cosmic laws retaliated, the Time and Space Dragon Kings foresaw the destruction of the Divine Dragon Realm in their visions."

"Desperate, they betrayed the Dragon God, ambushing him during the ceremony and driving him into madness. The Dragon Prince sacrificed himself to save his father, his blood drained dry. When the Dragon God awoke to find his only son dead, his rage knew no bounds. Ten Dragon Kings perished by his hand, and the Divine Dragon Realm collapsed under his fury. The rise and fall of the dragon race—both hinged on the Dragon God."

"Your kind's demise was ultimately his doing. The nine Dragon Kings who knew the truth perished. The former Asura God relinquished his divinity and left the Divine Realm, vanishing into the cosmos. All you saw was the Asura God striking down the Dragon God. Blinded by grief, the dragons waged war against humanity without restraint—leading to this ruin."

As Bai Xu's words faded, the entire Dragon Valley erupted with furious roars. The lingering souls of the fallen dragons, disregarding their dwindling strength, rose from their bones in spectral forms, filling the valley with their wrath.

"Is this true?"

"Lies! All lies!"

"The Dragon God would never abandon us!"

"You dare slander his name?!"

"KILL HIM!!!"

One enraged spirit lunged at Bai Xu, its hatred burning bright. Even if it meant dispersing forever, it would drag this blasphemer down with it.

"Stand down!"

Gu Yue and Na'er's combined roar turned the valley silver, their authority forcing the spirits back. "Continue," they commanded.

Bai Xu obliged. "Though the dragons never understood what truly happened, the death of the ten Dragon Kings and the Dragon God's grievous wounds drove them to madness. To protect their sovereign, they fought to the last, sacrificing everything."

Di Tian trembled violently. The remnants of his ancestors wailed in confusion, some surging forward as if to demand answers. Bai Xu's account was too precise—it matched the chaos they had felt that day. The Dragon God's fall, the Dragon Kings' deaths—it had shattered their reason.

"But that's not the worst of it," Bai Xu continued. "Even after the war, dragons like Di Tian could have still ascended to godhood, preserving their legacy."

He turned to Di Tian. "You've accumulated enough power to become a god many times over. Yet you never dared. Because deep down, you knew stepping into that realm would mean your death.

Why, Di Tian?

Because before his death, the Dragon God decreed: Unless the day comes when his fractured self is whole again, unless the Dragon God returns—no spirit beast shall ever attain godhood!"

BOOM!

The words struck Di Tian like a hammer blow. He collapsed to his knees, his entire body shaking, his face hidden beneath his black hair as his faith crumbled.

"The Asura God's blade didn't just split the Dragon God—it cleaved his very nature. The silver half became the Silver Dragon King, inheriting the Dragon God's elemental mastery and his remaining kindness. The golden half became the Golden Dragon King, a vessel for his madness, his hatred, and the war's endless resentment. Gu Yuena, did you truly believe you escaped the Divine Realm's gods by mere chance? That with your grievous injuries, you could evade multiple Godkings and hide in the Douluo Continent?"

His voice was calm, yet every word dripped with scorn.

"Open your eyes, remnants of the dragon race. Silver Dragon King. All of you have been deceived."

The valley fell into silence. The spectral dragons, Gu Yue, Na'er—all turned their gazes toward the towering Dragon God's soul behind them.

What a farce.
