Chapter 121 - Chapter 121 : Sukuna Vs Yagura 4

The shock of seeing Sukuna use the Flying Thunder God hadn't even settled before he unleashed something far worse.

A wave of power burst out of him—thick, heavy, suffocating.

Not chakra. Not anything they had ever felt.

It was curse energy.

Of course they didn't know that, none could tell outside the pressure around Sukuna increasing. It was very similar to Zabuza's killing intent from earlier, however, even worse. Much worse.

It was monstrous.

And unlike killing intent, this felt malicious. Like it was evil. One's very soul quivered under this pressure.

Kurama inside Naruto instantly snapped awake. "What the hell going on out there?!" He started to feel restless at the terrible negative energy emitting out of Sukuna.

Of course after years of Naruto interacting with Sukuna, Kurama had gotten used to the strange negative chakra around him. It was that brat. The girl's brother who this vessel was head over heels for.

Mostly Sukuna kept his curse energy suppressed so Kurama too didn't feel much of it. So, suddenly getting blasted by such malice, Kurama just couldn't stay still.

Even Isobu deep inside the giant Three-Tails froze. "This pressure… this isn't chakra… what is he?"

Everyone else felt only crushing force, like the air turned into stone. Sakura staggered. Naruto fell on his butt. Sasuke's eyes widened. Karin's breath hitched.

The pressure was almost equal to Isobu's own aura.

And Sukuna just cracked his neck like he had stretched after a nap.

"Good," he muttered. "It's been so long, I was half afraid it wouldn't even work." He joked to himself, recalling how only once he had used his king's reserves so far in a fight.

First time was against the Root member in the Uchiha massacre night.

Yagura—still in full Three-Tails form—roared and lunged at him.

But Sukuna didn't stay there.

He had a bigger issue.

Everyone was watching him.

'I should have ended the battle earlier… sigh. Only once I act how my heart desires and trouble comes brewing.'

So instead of fighting Isobu in front of the entire world, Sukuna decided to change location since nothing less than his full would take down a Biju.

The next second he vanished from his place, no real teleportation but just his improved speed. Appearing right above Isobu and placing one hand on the massive turtle's shell, and—

"Three Tails, your power is too great. I can't let you loose. You possess too great of a danger to the world."

Isobu hearing this blinked. He could have sworn he heard something similar like this before.

Inside, Kurama—who couldn't hear what was going on outside—had a shiver go down his spine, recalling that the shameful memory of being picked up like a stray cat by Hashirama was even more embarrassing than getting controlled by Madara.

The seal glowed.

The world bent.

And in a flash, both Sukuna and the giant biju vanished.

Gone.

Right in front of the entire group.

Naruto's jaw dropped. "EHHHHHHH?! HE JUST— HE JUST TOOK THE TURTLE WITH HIM?!!"

"What kind of Jutsu is that?" Sasuke was rattled at this.

Sakura shook her head wildly. Already having learned that questioning the absurdity of her brother was useless. So she asked questions whose answers she might get.

"What even is that turtle?!"

Naruto stared blankly. "A giant… armored… monster?"

Karin tugged Sakura's sleeve. "It has a tail, do you think it was…?!" Karin didn't complete the sentence but both Sakura and Sasuke realized what she was saying.

"I—I DON'T KNOW!" Sakura shook her head, finally losing her calm. If that big monster was really a Tailed Beast like the Nine Tails they learned in their textbooks then… she didn't wish to think about it.

All three turned to Kakashi for answers.

"Kakashi-sensei, what is that thing?"

"Yeah, tell us!"

"How come Sukuna can go pooff like that? What was that jutsu?!"

Kakashi did not answer.

He simply stared at the empty spot where a biju used to be, horrified.

"Sukuna is fighting a Tailed Beast… alone…"

Naruto almost choked. "WAIT! What!" Only now realizing what he just witnessed.

Sakura now really started to get worried for her brother.

Kakashi grabbed his head in frustration. He wanted to run after Sukuna, but he couldn't—Zabuza was still standing right there, glaring at him.

"Damn it," Kakashi muttered. "I can't leave. Not with him here."

Back to Sukuna.

He and Isobu reappeared far from the bridge, in a massive empty valley surrounded by sharp stone ridges. Nothing but rock, dirt, and sky.

Perfect.

Sukuna grinned. "Now we can go all out."

Isobu didn't waste time. The giant biju swung its massive tail toward Sukuna like a chunk of mountain.

Sukuna leaped, the attack smashing the earth apart behind him.

The ground caved, dust exploding upward.

Isobu fired a massive water bullet from its mouth—an enormous sphere of compressed water.

Sukuna raised his hand.

"Kai!"

The attack once again split in half mid-air, crashing uselessly to the sides.

Isobu roared angrily and charged again.

Sukuna rushed straight toward the beast, feet digging into the earth, curse energy coating his body like crackling lightning.

He jumped, landing directly on Isobu's shell.

The turtle tried to shake him off but Sukuna stabbed downward with a cleave.

Knowing Dismantle wasn't up to the task for this turtle, Cleave was the only attack available in his arsenal.

Like building blocks, the thick strong shell of the biju was first cut into many smaller cubes and then shattered like it was made of paper.

Isobu growled in pain, while the target was indeed his shell, but the attack was strong enough to reach his flesh as well. Sukuna didn't hold back in that attack even a bit.

Sukuna vanished using Flying Thunder God before Isobu was about to throw a massive attack at him, reappearing above its head and axe-kicking its snout.

The huge biju slammed face-first into the ground.

"MOVE, TURTLE!" Sukuna laughed, landing on a boulder and sending a Dismantle right at Isobu's single eye.

Biju blood spilled, as the only working eye of the biju was cut open.

'Did I make him blind?' Sukuna pursed his lips together stronger, internally feeling a bit bad for the poor turtle.

Isobu lifted its head and screamed in frustration, and no doubt anger. Spinning its tail around to flatten the entire valley floor.

'Cause he no longer could see.

'But then, he should be able to sense me, right.'

Sukuna dodged effortlessly, Kamui at work. While he could use Flying Thunder God, his proficiency was nowhere near what Minato was able to do. He couldn't just pull that technique for every little thing. Kamui was still better in this regard.

Isobu, who could no longer see Sukuna and could only sense him, was hella confused when he hit right where he sensed the bastard but hit nothing while his senses still telling him he was there.

That was when Sukuna sensed someone coming, this most likely Kakashi or his clone.

"Seems like I have to hurry," Sukuna sighed.

Isobu inhaled deeply.

Sukuna's eyes narrowed. "Oh damn—"

Another giant Tailed Beast bomb at point-blank range. And Sukuna could feel it, this was much stronger, Isobu wasn't holding back this time around.

"Oh no! No no no no, you don't." Sukuna yelped, recalling what kind of damage the last Biju Dama did to the surroundings and this one definitely looked much more powerful, this bastard turtle wasn't holding back like last time.

He wouldn't either if someone had sliced his eye off, especially when now he had Kamui in them, he couldn't regenerate them after all, he'd just get his original eyes back at that rate.

Sukuna shot forward with all of his speed, so fast that he almost broke the sound barrier—almost because he used Kamui to make himself intangible, usually that made his running around much easier.

With a heartbeat he was in front of the already giant Biju Dama, already ready to fire off.

His mind ran at breakneck speed, figuring out all kinds of solutions he could use against it. The first one was Kamui as his all-around problem solver but he trashed the idea immediately.

The Biju Dama was way too big for him to store in time. Not to mention he can't store away an ant fast enough if his life was depended on it. He really has to work on the offensive attack of Kamui, its speed exactly.

Second was to blow it before Isobu launched it toward some unfortunate soul. That soul most likely could be him.

Confirmed with his choice of action, Sukuna shot his hand out, his curse technique working overtime as he touched the deadly ball of black chakra.

As soon as his hands came in contact with the Biju Dama, two things happened: first, his hand got a nasty burn and second, imaginary lines ran around the entire orb, dividing it into many smaller parts.

"Cleave."
