Scene: Pete's Apartment — Midnight
The rain outside tapped softly against the windows.
The lights were low. Just the soft hum of jazz in the background.
Mek stood by the window, bare feet on the cold floor, his eyes full of something Pete hadn't seen in weeks—
Certainty.
Pete stepped behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist.
> "You okay?"
Mek turned in his arms, searching Pete's eyes like he was memorizing them.
> "I'm done being scared."
Pete blinked. "What?"
> "I want this. I want you. All of you. No more pulling away. No more doubting."
Mek's fingers tangled in Pete's shirt, pulling him closer.
> "Love me tonight. Not like I'm breakable. Love me like I'm yours."
Pete's heart stopped.
Then he kissed him—
Not soft. Not shy.
But hungry. Desperate. Reverent. Like worship.
They stumbled toward the bathroom, still kissing, tugging at each other's clothes. The door slammed open. The light flicked on.
Steam began to rise from the filling tub, but they didn't wait.
Pete lifted Mek onto the counter. Their mouths met again and again, breathless and wild.
> "You're perfect," Pete whispered between kisses. "You're mine."
> "Say it again," Mek gasped.
> "Mine."
He kissed down Mek's neck, slow and burning.
Clothes hit the floor. The tub overflowed slightly. They didn't care.

Scene: In the Hot Bath
Mek sat between Pete's legs, water lapping at their skin, his back against Pete's chest.
Pete kissed his shoulder.
Then his neck.
Then the space behind his ear that made Mek shiver.
Mek reached for Pete's hand and placed it over his heart.
> "Do you feel that?"
Pete nodded, lips brushing his skin.
> "It only beats for you."
Pete tightened his arms. "You don't have to prove anything."
> "I want to."
Mek turned and kissed him—slow this time. Deep.
Full of love. Of surrender.

Scene: Bedroom – Candlelight Only
Pete laid Mek down like he was fragile and priceless.
But when Mek looked up, his eyes burned.
> "I don't want gentle," he whispered. "I want real. I want you. I want us."
And oh, babe...
That night?
It wasn't just sex.
It was healing.
It was messy, and soft, and wild, and beautiful.
Hands tracing old scars.
Lips on every inch like a promise.
Pete whispered "I love you" over and over until Mek finally believed it.
And Mek?
He finally whispered back,
> "I love you, Pete. With everything I am."
And for the first time, he meant it out loud.
---
After
They laid tangled in sheets, skin to skin, Mek's head on Pete's chest.
No fear.
No walls.
Just two boys, finally safe.
> "Promise me we'll survive this?" Mek whispered.
Pete kissed his forehead.
> "We already are."
