Scene: Charity Gala — Grand Orchid Hotel, Bangkok
The chandeliers sparkled above a thousand murmurs of the elite. Pete arrived in a crisp black tuxedo, Mek by his side in a soft navy-blue suit that made Pete's breath hitch the second he saw him.
But Pete wasn't here for luxury tonight.
He was here because Rose was about to make her move.
And she did—just as the press flashed their cameras toward the grand staircase.
Rose descended like a queen returning from war.
On her arm?
Rin.
Pete's cousin.
His once-best friend.
The boy who betrayed Rose.
> Mek stiffened. "Isn't that… Rin?"
Pete's jaw clenched. "He's dead to me."

Scene: Flashback — 6 Years Ago — Pete's Father's Estate
Rose held Rin's hand tightly, her heart thudding with a stupid kind of hope. She believed in them. In him.
> "We'll run away," she whispered. "I don't care what your uncle says."
But Rin didn't squeeze her hand back.
He pulled away.
> "I can't do this, Rose."
"Why?"
"Because… I'm in love with someone else."
Her breath hitched.
> "Who?"
He hesitated, and then said the one name that crushed her more than betrayal ever could.
> "Pete's sister. Nari."

Scene: Present — Charity Gala
Rose raised her glass. "To new beginnings," she said smoothly, standing beside Rin as the crowd toasted.
Pete stormed forward.
> "What the hell are you doing with him?"
"Making memories," Rose replied, tilting her head.
> "You said he betrayed you!" Pete growled.
> "He did," she answered calmly, "But now I understand him."
She turned to Rin.
> "He loved your sister, didn't he? And your father promised him her hand—if only he helped destroy my family."
Mek looked between them all, feeling the puzzle pieces fall.
Pete's father had engineered this.
He dangled Nari in front of Rin like a prize.
And Rin took the bait.
> "You let them erase me," Rose whispered to Rin.
> "I didn't know your father would take his own life," Rin muttered.
> "But you knew mine would be ruined," she snapped.

Scene Shift: Balcony – Same Night
Mek stood silently while Pete stared out at the skyline.
> "Did you know?" Mek asked quietly. "About your sister and Rin?"
Pete shook his head. "I knew Rin had a thing for her. But I didn't know he'd sell out Rose for a chance at being part of the family."
> "Your father used everyone like chess pieces."
"And I'm sick of playing," Pete said. His voice was raw. "I want out."
> Mek looked at him, soft but firm. "Then fight for your own ending."
Pete turned, tears glinting in his eyes. "I almost lost you once. I won't let them rip us apart again."
> Mek brushed his fingers against Pete's cheek. "Then don't."

Final Scene: Rose's Secret Apartment — Later That Night
Rose sat on her couch, heels kicked off, a fire in her eyes.
Rin stood in the doorway, uncertain.
> "Why am I really here, Rose?" he asked.
She smiled, slow and dangerous.
> "Because it's time to ruin the people who ruined us. Together."
Rin hesitated.
> "Even Nari?"
"Especially Nari."
And as Rose lit a match and dropped it into a silver tray full of old photos, only one thing was clear—
This love story had new villains.
And no one was safe.
