Chapter 51 - CHAPTER 51: FEAR

CHAPTER 51: FEAR

After that explanation, Adrián was taken to a house near the city's port.

Outside he could see a sign which read: "SKY ALCHEMY STORE"

"This is our base, we bought it together, after spending a lot of points, come in I'll show you the place!"

Adrian could only go along with Bai Guoer, it seemed that his excitement was endless.

"A pill shop?" - Adrian asked, as he looked around, there were several shelves, with pills, although there were not many, each one seemed to have a considerable price.

"Yes! This is our livelihood, with this we pay a part of the debt of this small house"

"I see"

Continuing with Bai Guoer, he began to show her the place for refining pills, the boys' rooms, which were separated from the girls, and the dining room, bathrooms, showers, and so on.

It seemed that Bai Guoer didn't want to rest for a minute, and thanks to his cultivation he was able to continue like this for more hours, until night finally came.

Everyone was gathered in the living room of the house, and as they recounted their adventures, Bai Guoer seemed to finally start to fall tired, and since she was next to Adrian, she fell leaning on his shoulder. Adrian for some reason could notice a great tiredness in Bai Guoer's gaze, he noticed this little by little, her way of talking and walking, sometimes she even looked in some direction, it seemed to be imperceptible, but Adrian could notice it, it was as if she was anxious about something. But I never let that be reflected.

Besides, throughout his journey, his friends, did not get much into their conversation, even Simon who did it once, returned to his old place, and sometimes they also looked sideways, thinking of finding something, or someone, Adrian did not know for sure, he could only suppose, after all he never stopped watching them, since he always distrusted everything.

Adrian didn't say much during the conversation, he just just watched, after all he was a stranger.

"It seems that she finally calmed down, you know she was really worried about you" – After Bai Guoer fell asleep, the one who spoke was Misa, her voice was warm, when she spoke the others nodded.

It would be normal that, if she were a mere mortal, she would have easily fallen asleep from exhaustion, but Bai Guoer, was a cultivator, with a cultivation base at the eighth level of Qi condensation.

"Yes, he always spent his days telling us stories about his fabulous older brother, even with what happened the previous year" – Ana spoke absentmindedly while pouring herself some tea, but at that moment she stopped when she saw that she said too much.

"Don't say that Ana!" – Misa was the one who shut her up immediately, when they heard those words, everyone put a nervous look on her face.

Even Ana, she knew she shouldn't have said that. After all, Bai Guoer wanted everyone to keep it a secret.

A sepulchral silence filled the entire room, at that moment everyone became nervous, the only one who continued to drink Tea was Adrian, who manifested a violet aura in the pupil of his eyes, it was imperceptible. But it began to manifest itself little by little.

"Hey, yes, we'd better rest" – Carlos spoke, he wanted to end this conversation.

Even Simon nodded nervously, everyone nodded to Carlos' comment. But when everyone got up.

A barely perceptible aura enveloped the entire house. No one could feel it happening, but for some reason they decided to sit down again.

Adrian lowered the cup of tea he had in his hand, and placed it on the small table in front of him.

"What happened last year?" – Adrián asked directly, maybe it was the calm with which he asked his question, or maybe it was because they could barely breathe, but everyone's nerves went up to the sky.

It was a strange feeling, everyone within this house was more powerful than Adrian, but, even Simon who had the highest cultivation, could barely speak, every time he saw Adrian, he felt a great pressure in his chest. They all felt the same way, and wondered how this was even possible. Even everyone's divine sense was a little out of control.

It was at that moment that they returned to see Adrian, who was waiting for an answer, when they saw a different face, a look they had never seen before.

It was a terrifying look that made their hair stand on end, it was like looking at a murderous beast.

"Waaa!" – The first to fall was Carlos who could not resist the pressure and took several steps back. But even if I do that, I don't manage to calm down.

"How is it possible... this pressure?" – Ana said while, she also backed away, everyone here had fought in great battles, they had even put their lives at risk. But what she could feel all over her body was not normal at all.

The last one to retreat was Simon, who had the highest cultivation, it was at that moment that everyone deployed shields and seals to calm down.

Only Misa was the one who remained in her original position, on her neck, a necklace with a pearl in its center shining which protected her, but, even so, she could feel what the others felt.

Fear

It was the feeling that manifested itself in everyone.

Everyone knew about Bai Guoer's stories, she had always exaggerated the way she saw her elder brother, her stories were more from the days in the forbidden city, where her elder brother faced hordes of corrupted beasts alone.

Although Bai Guoer kept Adrian's secrets, she kept chattering about how her elder brother was the strongest, she had even said that Elder Sonu's two disciples, Jasmine and Aeger had faced their elder brother and lost.

They all took those stories as a baseless tale, but they liked Bai Guoer's personality.

Now, however, they could say that perhaps, all those stories were not entirely false.
