Chapter 4 - Chapitre 4

Kaelen told them to untie him.

They hesitated, but did so.

He stood up and looked around.

"Let me ask you something," he said. "Why are nobles, kings, priests… considered superior to you?"

He pointed at one of them. "Is it because they're stronger? Smarter? Wiser?"

"No. It's because of luck. They were born noble. Born rich. Born kings. They had everything from the start."

"They're no different from us. We are all of the same race. The same people. So why are we the ones sleeping in fear while they rest in palaces?"

"Why do we work every day just to survive, while they live lives of endless luxury?"

"It's not just because of their luck—it's also because of us. We've become submissive. We've accepted this as normal."

He paused.

"Whether you agree with me or not, you must admit—it's stupid."

"My goal is to destroy this regime. To create one where people rise by merit, not by birth."

The crowd was stunned.

Then a few brave souls clapped.

"He's right," someone shouted. "Why do we suffer and hand over our labor to nobles who live in paradise?"

Shouts of agreement filled the air.

Kaelen raised his voice.

"From today, we go village by village. Domain by domain. Until we reach the capital."

"One last thing," he said. "Do you have friends? Family? Servants in noble houses who can steal spellbooks or sword manuals? Retired mercenaries? Wandering magicians? Bring them."

"Today marks the beginning of the wave of freedom."
