Chapter 5 - Chapitre 5

Kaelen stood up and told them to unchain him.

Once free, he rose with fire in his eyes and asked them one thing:

"Why are nobles… kings… priests… considered superior to you? Why are you the slaves?"

He didn't wait for an answer.

"The reason is simple: luck. They were lucky — born as nobles, born rich, born kings. They have all the power. But they're no different from us. We're the same race. So why do they treat us like filth? Why do they exploit us? Why are they protected in golden palaces… while we sleep in fear every night? Why do we live day by day, surviving, while they live like their wealth will never end?"

He paused, then pointed at the crowd.

"All of this is because of their luck… but not just that — it's also because of us. We've become submissive. We act like this is normal. Like we deserve it. But no. No, it's not normal. Whether you agree with me or not — you must admit: this system is stupid."

Then he declared his dream:

"My goal is to overthrow this regime. To create a new one — where people become what they deserve to be, not what they were born into."

The crowd was shocked.

But then, a few brave souls stood up.

They saluted his courage.

They supported him.

"He's right," one shouted.

"Why should I suffer? Give all my hard labor to nobles… while they lounge in their paradise?"

"The world is unjust!" others cried.

The murmurs grew into a storm.

Then Kaelen spoke again:

"From today, we go village by village. Seigneury by seigneury. Until the capital falls — it will be the last one standing."

Then he asked something very important:

"Do you have friends?

Family?

Tell them to join us.

A servant inside a noble's house?

Tell them to steal their magic books.

Their sword manuals.

Do you know retired mercenaries?

Wandering mages?

Bring them.

Today is the beginning of the wave of freedom."
