Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 24

Dominic was playing with his horse when Nathaniel came. He had to let his horse return to his place to return to the dining room where Nathaniel was asked to sit. Dominic entered the dining room and seeing that food and wine was served for Nathaniel, he nodded to the maids. The guest was served well.

He sat on the main seat and poured himself a glass of wine and drank it. He looked at Nathaniel and asked, "What does the Emperor mean?"

Nathaniel took a letter and used mana to send it over to Dominic. The table was 50 meters long and both were sitting at the other end of the rectangular table. Dominic caught the paper and read the letter. It was indeed interesting to read what the Emperor had written. The Emperor might not have a problem letting his concubines sleep with others by acting as a prostitute when he decided to marry them and never touch them, but he would not do anything like that. He would not even marry any women temporarily if that was what he had to do to stay alive.

For him, it was always live a prideful life. That was one of his ways of life and humility does not set rightfully for him. But the fact that the emperor if he was interested in marrying a princess did not make him interested at all. Women were just women. Except for the fact when women had approached him and he had had some physical reaction, he had never been with a woman. So he who has never been with a woman does not understand why others like women and if he needs to run behind women. For him, women were only to reproduce the next generation. Can someone love and run behind wine if they have never tasted the wine.

So he planned and decided to not get married. He got a paper made from raw materials extracted from intent slaves who were trees and wrote with ink made of intent materials and wrote the each word filled with intent of what he had meant.

He wrote how he does not want to get married now as he has to establish his own name and lineage first as he was a loner now. He also wrote about how other than his strength, he does not possess anything of equal value to hold his name high if he dies. Considering the fact that he

Respected Emperor Nero Julius Titus

Emperor of the Great Roman Empire

Greetings.

I am informed the reasons for your actions and I find it hard to understand. A man should live for himself and inner self is absolutely important that the external self. But there are times when you have nothing much to lose, you should work on your external self. People do not know you as only you can know yourself. So you should plan and keep your external self-known to me and others pure and clean.

There will be times when a person finds himself attached to his nation and race. Humanity was named a foolish tribe before Archimedes and Plato was born. Humanity was named a weak race before we made the contract magic for the nation and Empire. Humanity was named a cowardly one before the death troops of various nations proved them wrong. The posthumous nobles of the Mesopotamian empire made the elves shame about beauty and noble nature. There is a reason why we are called nobles and not just lords.

We are supposed to be the best among all humans. Hence we have the best among all humans as warriors, mages, warlocks, alchemists, refiners, generals and philosophers. We are supposed to show that humans can be whatever they want hence we allow many nobles to live a life of debauchery. When they are sadists and torture others, we do not stop them. When they are willing to wage war for love that might let the nation be destroyed, we support.

But not in any manner can I think about your actions as something that is good for humans. Your actions do not appear to me as this gives a different message to the people, giving them a negative direction of development.

When I meet other races, I spoke with pride that I was a human as I knew the history of all the good humans. So I never spoke that I am a citizen of my nation as their actions did not let me have pride in it. When I become a Roman king, will I have pride to announce that I am a Roman King as you are the Roman Emperor, the face of the Empire?

No matter what your decisions are, I shall indeed solve the problem of the dragon for the 20% shares of the company. I shall wait for you answer as I cannot force myself to part of a nation where the supreme figure is someone who lets his wife sleep with others.

As for marriage, I have no such interests for now as other than my personal strength, I have no other strength. It will take some time for me to create a new lineage and build a powerful domain so that even after my death, my name and my power shall last. Since I can live a much longer life, marriage is not something I plan to hold as per my current plans for another 100 years.

Dominic then took the letter, packed it and gave it to Nathaniel and spoke, "Send it to him. Meet me with his message."

The emperor who got the letter read it and smiled. He had to ask himself what he was going to do. Personally, he just wanted to kill Dominic. But it was hard as he had good reputation and he was strong enough to stand against all attacks and then use the reputation to strike back.

What was he to do? He cannot erase the history of what had happened even if it had only spread among the noble circle. He could indeed create an order to let this part of history be never spoken but it was hard. He could only write the let him find another empire. As for the dragons, he shall get the share that he wants.

The letter was delivered and he got a return letter. He read it and sighed. Dominic was a good asset to the empire and his actions had cost him. He had thought that most men were interested in a loose and easy life. But it seemed not to be the case. Since they can have a business relationship, that is indeed enough for him and the Roman Empire.
