Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 Humans, please do your best to please me

A rough and wild giant stone chair was placed on the pile of corpses.

A burly, enormous figure, covered in green oil, comparable to a troll, sat grandly on the stone chair, his wide mouth full of fangs, his eyes like torches, looking towards the dim and deep cave passage.

This stone chair originally belonged to the Goblin Shaman.

Later, after a Goblin Hero was born in the nest, the Goblin Shaman obediently gave up its "throne" and submitted to the Goblin Hero.

Unlike other Goblins, his weapons and equipment were more refined.

Ordinary Goblins at most wore a tattered cloth around their waists, and their weapons were mostly broken bows and arrows, rusty daggers, crude homemade throwing stones, and wooden sticks, etc.

The Goblin Hero was clearly wearing equipment comparable to humans, armor and a horse-slaying saber, simply not on the same level as ordinary Goblins.

Moreover, the Goblin Hero's physique was even more robust than a Big Goblin, looking like an ogre.

Just sitting on the stone chair, he gave off a powerful sense of oppression.

A Goblin Shaman and three Big Goblins were kneeling below the stone chair.

The Goblin Hero's yellowish horizontal pupils rolled, looking down at the Goblins below him, uttering obscure words, then lazily flicked a finger, seemingly having no intention of taking action.

"Guji!"

"Wah wah ha!"

After receiving their orders, the Goblin Shaman and the Big Goblins immediately led more Goblins and rushed towards the cave passage.

Kane and the others were in a fierce battle after encountering an ambush.

Especially after Ryder and Dalia drank the antidote and joined the battlefield, the situation showed an overwhelming advantage.

Ryder's long spear was a Splicing ; he removed half of the shaft, grabbed the short spear, and stabbed wildly, riddling the Goblins with bloody holes.

Dalia scolded and punched a Goblin flying.

"Hahahaha, Goblins are nothing more than this."

"Besides being insidious and cunning, they have no other skills."

"Exterminate this Goblin nest, and we'll all get promoted together, making that bitch Alicia envious."

The cave was filled with a Fishy smell bloody scent.

Goblin corpses lay scattered on the ground.

At some point, the torches that were still burning had been extinguished by foul blood.

"Dalia, the torch!" Kane whispered.

As creatures living under sunlight, their eyes were not accustomed to the dark environment of caves and underground.

"Got it, Big Brother Kane~"

"Let me punch this Goblin to death first."

Dalia assented, throwing a punch that contained a firm yet soft force, striking the dark figure in front of her.

However.

This time, the Goblin did not fly backward as she expected; instead, her own fist was caught by a rough, thick large hand.

"?!"

Dalia was startled, and a terrible thought arose in her heart.

Before she could react, the rough large hand suddenly tightened, and her fist was clamped as if by an iron vise, the immense force crushing her finger bones.

"Ah————!!"

Dalia let out a scream.

"Dalia!"

Ryder was startled and quickly shouted, "I'm coming to support you!"

Before he finished speaking.

His short spear was grabbed by a "person," and a powerful and swift gale pressed down from above his head.

With a "bang."

Ryder's head was hit by a wooden stick thicker than an adult's thigh.

The headless corpse swayed a few times and fell backward onto the ground.

In the darkness, the Big Goblin who killed Ryder grinned menacingly.

The scent of human blood excited him immensely.

Without Ryder's support, Dalia, whose fist had been crushed, was picked up by the Big Goblin and slammed heavily against the wall.

"Cough!!"

Dalia's eyes widened, and she spat blood, feeling her vision go black and her bones feel like they were falling apart.

The Big Goblin smashed her a few more times, then casually threw Dalia to the side.

The Goblins, already famished and eager, grunted and swarmed forward, surrounding Dalia from head to toe, tearing at her clothes.

"Big Goblin?!" Kane's expression instantly turned ugly.

The sudden change happened too quickly.

By the time he realized it, a string of obscure and incomprehensible incantations echoed from the end of the passage.

The next moment.

The dark cave was illuminated by firelight.

A fiery fireball the size of a carriage wheel, carrying astonishing heat, rolled towards Kane.

Kane, using the firelight, also temporarily saw the situation in the cave clearly.

The originally cramped passage was blocked by three tall Big Goblins, even more robust than him, cutting off his retreat.

Ryder had already become a headless corpse, lying in a pool of blood.

Dalia was surrounded by a group of Goblins, her fate unknown, but the outcome was predictable.

"How could this happen?!"

"Just a Goblin Shaman and three Big Goblins, and we're going to be wiped out?"

"No—"

"I can't die, I want to become a Silver-rank Adventurer."

"I want to make that bitch Alicia regret it!"

The calm and composed Kane's face twisted, and a frantic bloody color surged in his eyes.

He first blocked the large fireball smashing towards him with his sword, enduring the splashing high-temperature flames, clenched the scorching sword hilt, and swung it fiercely, hacking at the Big Goblin blocking his way behind him.

"Clang!!"

Kane forgot the cave's "height limit," but the immense force unleashed by his survival instinct literally shattered the rock, and the greatsword struck the Big Goblin's shoulder, the sharp blade cutting powerfully from his shoulder to his chest, almost diagonally slicing the Big Goblin in half.

Kane also didn't have time to pull out the greatsword stuck in the Big Goblin's corpse.

After all, there were still two Big Goblins eyeing him menacingly.

He—ran away!

"Big Brother Kane…save me…save…me…"

A faint voice came from among a pile of Goblins.

Dalia tilted her head, her dazed and pale eyes looking through the gaps between a few Goblins at Kane's gradually retreating back, her face growing increasingly desperate, until her eyes completely lost their luster, and only the Goblins' sharp, Abuse screams remained in her ears.

"Save…save…me…"

Dalia closed her eyes, shedding tears of regret.

Why did she become an adventurer?

Why did she want to eliminate Goblins?

Goblins are the most evil monsters in the world!

"I can escape!"

"I can survive!"

Kane stumbled and ran wildly through the cave.

Until a light appeared at the end of the dark passage, an expression of wild joy surged on his face.

"Hahahahaha!"

"I escaped! I escaped!!"

"Ryder, Dalia, don't worry, I will become a Silver-rank Adventurer, join a stronger Adventurer team, and then come back to avenge you!"

The joy of escaping death made Kane lose control of his emotions, and he couldn't help but laugh maniacally.

What teammates, what admirers, nothing was as important as his own survival.

Just as Kane was overjoyed, a tall figure blocked the cave entrance, also obscuring the light.

He was clad in barbaric armor, carrying a horse-slaying saber on his shoulder, his sturdy body three points taller than a Big Goblin.

"Goblin Hero…"

"How could this be…"

"Why would this nest give birth to…a terrifying existence like a Goblin Hero."

Kane's joy turned to sorrow, and his face instantly turned pale.

"H-u-m-a-n—"

The Goblin Hero, with his wide mouth and fangs, grinned menacingly, raising his huge horse-slaying saber.

"Do your best to please me!!"
