Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 Taking a Bath Together

The moment the quill pen was dipped into the Dragon Blood ink, the pen holder lit up with intricate and ornate patterns. These patterns, originally silver-white, perfectly blended with the jade pen holder. After absorbing the Dragon Blood's magic, they glowed with a vibrant, hot gold color.

"Mithril Quill!"

Naruto was surprised, but he didn't make a sound.

He and the Sword Saintess watched intently, afraid of disturbing the Witch.

The Witch chanted obscure and profound incantations, concentrating without holding the quill pen.

After the quill pen was full of ink, it continued to "freely operate," pulling itself out of the ink bottle, floating in mid-air, and then writing rapidly on the parchment-like scroll with a "rustling" sound.

In a short while,

A profound, complex, and incredibly detailed magic circle was drawn by the quill pen.

A huge circle, as if drawn by a compass, enclosed all the runes and patterns.

It contained seven concentric circles and an equilateral triangle in the very center.

Inside the equilateral triangle, an oval eye was drawn, exactly like the iconic symbol of the god of awareness's temple.

The moment the magic circle was drawn, the parchment emitted a subtle fluctuation.

"This is a miracle of the god of awareness—Cognitive Mist," the Sword Saintess said in shock.

The god of awareness also had followers in the kingdom, but not as widespread as the supreme god or the Earth Mother God, whose temples were found throughout towns.

This was because the god of awareness was more like chaotic order; he would bestow miracles upon humans and also help Goblins awaken through divine revelation.

Regardless of humans, Goblins, or other races, they were all pawns for him to manipulate.

"The last step is enchanting."

The Witch took out the mist ring and placed it on the parchment scroll where the magic circle was drawn.

An invisible magical power enveloped the mist ring, and with a slight tremor, it slowly floated into the air.

Immediately after,

The already drawn magic circle actually lifted off the paper. The concentric circles separated vertically, and the runes stood upright, transforming from a flat pattern into a three-dimensional one, enveloping the mist ring in the center.

"All things are illusions, truth sinks into chaos—obscure your senses, let your eyes not see, your ears not hear, your nose not smell, and your tongue not speak!"

The Witch's expression was solemn as she chanted the incantation, pointing her wooden staff forward.

"Whoosh!"

A breeze inexplicably arose in the room. The outer ring of the three-dimensional magic circle spun rapidly, sparks flying with a "hissing" sound, then quickly collapsed. Each hot gold rune, like a blacksmith's hammer, continuously struck the mist ring.

Each strike left a clear, visible hot gold imprint on the smooth, unblemished surface of the mist ring.

The mist ring also trembled slightly under the impact of the runes.

Once all the runes were imprinted, it meant the enchantment was complete.

The parchment scroll was empty.

The mist ring seemed to lose its power, dropping onto the table with a "clink" and rolling a few times with a "gurgle."

The Witch exhaled a turbid breath, a hint of fatigue appearing on her charming face.

She picked up the mist ring and handed it to Naruto.

"This mist ring sacrifices area of effect for greatly extended duration. You can cast the spell three times a day, each lasting 60 minutes, and it only affects one person."

"Hmm, just recite the incantation I just said before casting it."

Fearing Naruto might forget, the Witch recited it again.

"This is enchantment, this is a magic item."

Witnessing enchantment for the first time, Naruto found it quite novel and saw a type of extraordinary power completely different from Ninjutsu or Genjutsu.

He put on the ring, and a translucent white window popped up.

[mist ring]

[Quality: Blue]

[Description: ...]

"Is the equipment quality blue?"

"But that's right. Although Dragon Blood is a purple material, only half a bottle was used, and the quality of the material is not absolutely equivalent to the quality of the equipment."

If the Witch could create a purple item with just one mist ring and half a bottle of Dragon Blood, that would be truly astonishing.

"All things are illusions, truth sinks into chaos—obscure your senses, let your eyes not see, your ears not hear, your nose not smell, and your tongue not speak!"

Naruto chanted the incantation, and the mist ring on his finger immediately lit up with profound and complex array patterns and symbols, which then merged into his body.

Naruto then submerged his consciousness into his spiritual world to check the sealed space.

He found that the front of the giant gate seal was filled with a hazy gray mist, which even permeated the entire sealed space. There was no sound at all; it was terrifyingly quiet.

With the mist obstructing, he could not perceive the outside world.

"It really works."

Naruto's heart filled with joy, and he quickly withdrew his consciousness from the sealed space.

"Next, I can finally take a good bath!"

Naruto stretched with a big yawn.

"But... there's one more thing to do."

A moment later,

The three of them were finally soaking in the bathtub.

Considering there were quite a few people, Naruto still poured in two and a half bottles of Dragon Blood.

He had repurchased a bottle of Young Dragon Level Dragon Blood from the Underground City Mall with a redemption coupon, saving it for Hinata.

Using Young Dragon Level Dragon Blood, then Flying Dragon Level Dragon Blood, and finally Giant Dragon Level Dragon Blood in such a progressive manner, Naruto was very much looking forward to how much Hinata's physique could improve.

Steaming hot, with mist swirling.

Naruto sat in the middle of the bathtub, his arms resting on the wooden tub's edge, a white linen towel folded on his forehead.

He also had beauties accompanying him on his left and right.

What enjoyment!

Naruto let out a long sigh.

Could such a life in the Underground City (another world) be experienced in Konoha Village?

In the bathtub,

The Witch and the Sword Saintess stared at each other.

The Sword Saintess pointed at the Witch and said, "You: Didn't you say to take off our clothes to bathe?!"

The Witch, wrapped in a bath towel, soaked in the hot water mixed with Dragon Blood, and smiled charmingly, "I'm not wearing clothes. A bath towel is not clothes."

"Your, undergarment, is transparent."

"!?"

The Sword Saintess looked down. Her white undergarment clung to her skin, wet and translucent.

Naruto only caught a glimpse out of the corner of his eye, and his nose felt hot, almost gushing blood.

The Sword Saintess cried out softly, wrapped her arms around her chest, and quickly dove into the water, her smooth, shiny golden hair floating on the surface.

"Gurgle gurgle gurgle..."

Bubbles rose on the surface of the bathtub.

A hint of cunning flashed in the Witch's beautiful eyes.

Trying to contend with her?

The innocent and pure Sword Saintess was still a bit too naive.

Before the Witch could rejoice, a fair little hand stealthily reached out from under the water, grabbed the Witch's bath towel, and yanked it down forcefully.

"Splash!"

Water splashed everywhere.

Naruto: "..."

If this scene were exaggerated in an anime, he would probably be gushing nosebleeds like arrows, and he himself would be flying backward, face up to the sky.

As they soaked, the effects of the Dragon Blood gradually began to manifest.

A purplish-red blood mist enveloped their entire bodies.

Vast life force and pure magical energy continuously permeated their bodies through their skin pores.

All their cells were rapidly metabolizing, and their flesh, sinews, and bones were all being tempered. The life force from the dragon species caused their physical bodies to continuously transform and strengthen.

Even the most fragile internal organs could be strengthened to a certain extent.
